Hi, my husband is on a 189 skills permanent visa. We have been living in Australia for 2 years 5 months ( by Xmas ) when we are considering moving back to the Uk for 3-6 months for family reasons) i have read that for citezenship you need to have lived in the country 4 years and not been absent from Australia for up to 1 year in that time. does anyone know if this means you could work in the Uk again if we come back in December for the 3-6 months without affecting the citezenship? Getting a resident return visa shouldn’t be a problem, however just would be nice to get the citezenship as soon as possible rather than starting the 4 years over again
