    Hi
It came from "virtual.ceremony.nsw@homeaffairs.gov.au". I also emailed this address asking for a virtual ceremony after my application was approved. Not sure if that made a difference on the timeline though.

    Hello,

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your timeline, that was a quick turnaround. If you don't mind me asking, what did you ask from the 'virtual.ceremony.nsw'? To schedule you for the ceremony? The congratulatory note that was given after we passed the tests specifically stated to not approach our local council. I guess it doesn't apply to virtual.ceremony.

  2. Hi,

Sharing our progress and timeline. My wife and myself will be talking the tests tomorrow

    Current status - Permanent Resident
    Citizenship Application: 22 Jun 2020
    Invitation: 28 January 2021
Test Date: 13 Feb 2021 (Parramatta Council)

We don't need to bring the Form 1105 that we submitted on our application right?

Has anyone been asked to provide the same thing as required document? Under the 1195 Identity declaration section, both my child and I were asked to provide Passport Photo only but not the actual form? Thanks.

I think the actual form goes to the "Form 1195 declaration" under the "Recommended" section. That's what I did in my application

Hey mate, you don't need Australian police check for citizenship. Department does the check on your behalf directly and you need overseas police certificates if following applies to you

If you have spent a total of 12 months or more outside Australia since we granted you a permanent visa, you need to give us overseas police certificates from every country, including your home country, where you have spent a total of more than 90 days since you turned 18.

Cool! Thanks for the clarification mate, appreciate it

    @BenoitThanks mate, much appreciated!

    - My wife had only added up to the last 8 years, they are very strict on this and needed the full 10 years of past residence (including any police clearance for any country you've lived for more than 12 months). We had to complete tons of information at the bottom of the form (they provide additional space for extra details). we just labeled it as "section x - continued".
    - I would recommend to everyone / anyone to do a form 80. It's a pain but is so easy for the CO to ask for it, which will only delay things longer. Also, you should already have everything needed to compete it. So there is no real reason not to.

Remember updating your application does not slow it down at all, unless its a request from the CO.

Thanks for the tip. If we submit form 80 through immi, under which document category should it belong to?

If you got your nomination, it should be (usually) a quick turn around for the CO to either grant the visa, or request documentation. Let's hope it's the better of the 2!

    Hi,

Question about nomination approval - my nomination was submitted by my company's MA and I submitted the visa application myself. Will I know thru immi if the nomination has been approved or I need to be informed by the MA?

I did mine after my application went in as it will be needed, but I know some people wait until asked for them as they can expire if the wait is longer than 12 months, my police checks are about to expire so Ill be re doing them as i'd rather have everything in the application once its opened than delay it further while getting them.

In my opinion, you can safely wait for about five-six months, and then do your health assessment. I doubt any case officer will be assigned earlier than in six months period.

Its my understanding from my MA that the CO will request them if you don't already have them in your application, once requested you can book in that week and mine took another week to come through. I hope that helps Xx

The problem with this approach is that you are then delaying the process even further...

i.e. once the CO requests the medicals, you'll have 28 days to complete and upload them, the CO can then take another month (after the 28 days), sometime more / less to get back to your case.

I would say, you should be safe, doing the exams 5 months in.

Thanks all for the reply. I believe waiting for 5-6 months makes a lot of sense.

That's my concern as well. Since we are a total of 4 applicants, the cost for the health assessment is not cheap. If I wait for a case officer to be assigned, will they remind me about the health checks or a CO won't be assigned to our application until we undergo the health assessments?

  9. Hope it's ok to bump my previous message in case somebody knows the answer. Anyone?

    Hi All,

I submitted our visa application yesterday and in my Immi account it says- Actions required: Arrange health examinations.

Does it mean that we need to do the health assessments asap? I thought we'll only be informed about it and other required documents once a case officer is assigned to our application?

    Hey @lastdrop

I'm not a professional, but I think you can apply and your wife can take the IELTS while your case is being processed if required (not required if she has a passport from a selection of English speaking countries, or is she went through 1 year of full-time education in English, check out the website for proof of English ability)

someone correct me if I'm wrong!

    Thanks!

  12. [ Spouse Language Ability - Required? ]

    Hi,

I'm finalizing our visa application in immi and under the Attach Documents page, the Evidence of Language Ability is showing under the Required section for my wife:

    image.png.f2d09db7ad34519af421e0c562ebc49e.png

I thought this will be asked later? Should my wife take the IELTS exam before we submit the application or can we proceed with the submission?

  13. Hi @here.

I was thinking of taking the medical examinations prior to visa application but after browsing through this forum I realized that it can't wait. Problem is I already created a Health Declarations application in Immi last April 2018. If I try to remove it, I am prompted with this warning:

    Quote

Important: If you select Confirm, this application will be removed from this ImmiAccount. This will not withdraw the application.

To withdraw an application, the relevant processing office must be notified in writing. This can be done by letter, email or completing and uploading Form 1446 - Withdrawal of a visa application.

    Should I remove it?

PS: I haven't submitted my visa application yet.

From the homeaffairs website: "You will need to pay the second instalment of the visa application charge if you have less than functional English and you are a secondary applicant over 18 years of age. " https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1/186-?modal=/visas/supporting/Pages/employer-sponsored/second-instalment.aspx

You will have to pay it only if your visa is about to be granted, and your case officer (CO) will ask you to do so (only if your partner does not have sufficient IELTS score).

Wow, can't believe I missed that. Thanks a lot! So to confirm, it's either we provide an IELTS result OR pay 5k. Is it a case-to-case basis or it will always be requested? (partner's english ability)

  15. 1 minute ago, Loktar said:

Yes, IELTS with 4.5 score in average. Or you have to pay about 5k, in the second instalment.

Thanks @Loktar for the quick reply. Since you mentioned about installment, can you please elaborate on this more (if you don't mind) or if you can point me to a website that explains this. My understanding is that I have to pay the whole visa fee (1+3 dependencies) during the time application.

Hi. I submitted nomination only in Jan 2018,haven’t lodge visa application because I have been told if nomination gets refused I can’t get a refund for the visa fee(3 applicants cost $7000+)

1.you can submit your visa, and if nomination refuse, you can review and appeal, but you need to check if it’s worth going review and appeal coz it takes ages.

2.aren’t you on a TRT nomination already? I mean no one would go DE if they can go TRT

I have no answers for other questions. Better ask your MA coz you paid

Hi, thanks for the feedback and sharing your case. I'm in the same boat, we are 4 applicants in total so around 10k including medical.

I'm only able to pay MA's fee for processing the nomination. I'm on my own for the visa application ?

  17. Hi,

I've been lurking this thread and have been researching about ENS for quite some time.

I'm currently on a 457 visa working for my employer since Sept 2015. My nomination was submitted in March 2018 by my company's MA and still waiting for approval. I've got a positive skills assessment (26311 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer) from ACS but already expired last month. I've also already completed and passed IELTS.

Just want to have some clarifications about a few things:

    • I understand that I can submit the visa application without waiting for the nomination approval but is it a big risk to do that? If the nomination was rejected, is there any review and appeal process?
    • I am eligible for TRT stream, is this correct?
    • Skills assessment is not required for TRT, would it help to include the expired ACS assessment results in the visa application?
    • For Skills and Qualifications documents - can I reuse the work reference documents (certified true copies) that I used for ACS assessment even though it was dated a few years ago? I'm referring to previous work experiences. I'm planning to update just my current work.

Appreciate any feedback. Hopefully, I'll gain enough confidence to push through with the application
