  1. Is an appendix allowed for ACS RPL reports? I want to include code samples for my web developer RPL report as evidence of my skillset.
  2. 1. How many points do I need to have a chance of getting a NSW 190 Web Developer Visa? 2. Is there anyone here who could assess the likelihood of me receiving a positive skills assessment? Or recommend an affordable and trusted migration agency that could do this for me?
  3. Seems like my assessment is right. I don’t need to points for work experience. What is a concern is if I have a chance at applying for the software engineer occupation. Do I need to have held that specific title or can my work experience simply overlap enough with what they say is needed for that occupation? I’ve worked designing, supporting, testing, and developing web and mobile applications for the past five years. What do you think?
  4. Since 2010 I have wanted almost nothing more than to live and work in Melbourne. It looks like my best chance at a permanent visa right now is to apply for a 190 next year. I would need my assessment done by ACS. My degree is in marketing but I'd be applying for a technology occupation so my degree wouldn't be relevant. I currently have 5 years of professional technology work experience. My confusion lies in the following from the attached ACS document: ACS says: "The RPL application is for applicants with qualifications with no or insufficient ICT...6 years of full time professional ICT work experience in a field closely related to the nominated ANZSCO Code is required if you hold a Non ICT or insufficient ICT qualification and 8 years if you do not have any qualifications." "If your qualification is assessed as AQF Diploma or higher and with insufficient ICT content, you will require 6 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history, plus a suitable Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application to meet the suitability criteria." Later they say this: "All relevant work experience completed after the Skill Level Requirement Met Date will be considered Skilled Employment and eligible for points under the skilled migration points test. The work experience required to meet the suitability criteria is NOT included as Skilled Employment and is NOT eligible for points under the skilled migration points test. The ACS assessment process will seek to find the earliest Skill Level Requirement Met Date possible for each assessment type." Do the RPL projects need to be completed BEFORE the 6 years of work experience or can they happen during the 6 years of work experience. It doesn't make sense to require them before. I think what it's saying is that the 6 years of work experience would essentially be used to substitute for my lack of tech degree and I wouldn't get points for those years as skilled employment; which means I'd go from 70-75 points to 65 points assuming I can achieve 20 points for Superior English. Is that right? If so it looks like I would be qualified for (potential) positive assessment next year once I reach the 6 year requirement. This has all become quite confusing to me; I greatly appreciate any help this community can provide me in achieving my dream. Skills Assessment Guidelines for Applicants V5-5 Aug 2018.pdf
