If ur friend apply after March 2018 then need 3 year experince from since he start 457 visa as cook. I think so before 457 experince not be counted.
He is talking about the DE stream, so not only 457 experience is counted.

On the immi website, it is stated to tell about changes (address, phone number, relationship status etc), when you have the visa:

She had completed her masters here in Melbourne back in 2016 we had submitted her master degree certificate and course completion letter as well. Do she still need to submit her IELTS or PTE score. As we paid the full visa amount when we applied for Visa.
It looks like completing masters in Australia will qualify her for having functional English, see this link https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/meeting-our-requirements/english-language/functional-english

We only submitted my wife Education certified copies only.
I would advise your wife to pass the IELTS now, if she did not do this yet (or other acceptable English test). As paying second instalment would be much more expensive, i.e., several thousands dollars.

Oh i have payed the visa amount in one go so not aware of this. certified copies only.
It is a visa requirement that secondary applicant must have functional English, or pay the second instalment. (See the immi web site for the definition of functional English.)

You message is not clear enough, what is the invoice you are talking about? And CO asked for english of the secondary applicant this is bit strange. You need to book for English language test of your own why you need to ask immigration department for invoice?
It is a standard procedure to pay second instalment for the English of secondary applicant (hence, the invoice). All details are on the immigration web site.

hello guys,
i just need some info for one of my friend, he and his wife going to apply 186 TRT by the end of next month.
he just wondering, is he have to pay two visa fees of S3755 or just need to pay one visa fee for both couple?
Please answer
It is roughly 1.5 visa fees. On the DoHA web site there is a visa fee calculator for the variable number of people.

Does anybody have experience with changing Job Titles in their 457 role, then applying for a 186 TRT?
Worried the Department might refuse me for the slightest raised eye brow?
My MA said the following on the subject;
Would anyone be worried?
I consulted with HR about my promotion, and decided to postpone it, as they said there is a slight chance it might affect the visa grant. So I decided not to take the risks.

Keeping your body and mind in good shape not only clears your mind from this horrendously long wait but think will also make it that more satisfying when the inevitable day comes that you find out you are here for life! Get another bottle of the good stuff!
As Bella says, law of attraction and all! I’ll be getting one myself this weekend hopefully when mine comes through, I will immediately stop what I’m doing, whether I’m at work or out and about. Go home, Get the bottle and a cigar and going to the Opera House to crack it open and celebrate with a view of the glorious Harbour Bridge!
Reading your message I started to think that we need a bottle of champagne emoticon.

Although I agree with you, it's also worth noting that MA's like Deloitte have "Business Expedite Sponsorship" accounts (I might have the name wrong), which they pay additionally for.
- These plans are different to standard sponsorship plans (that have standard processing times), as far as I know, you need to fit a certain criteria in order to apply for this "sponsorship package", meaning they are obviously doing something right. So although it might be unfair, it's also something that Deloitte clearly work on, in order to keep their processing times down.
- It's not just by chance that they have priorityBasically one has to pay a lot (to Deloitte, which then pays to government) for a priority processing. Not so fair I would say.

I want to ask a question, I'm applying subsequent entrance sc482 visa for my wife. I'm on sc457 visa.
Do my wife have full working rights or she can only work for my sponsored business?
Please answer.
Thanks
My wife is a subsequent entrant on my 457, and she got full working rights.

They just rejected me on genuine need and org chart.
So it`s really hard to admit they have a pattern.
Two people today mentioned they got rejection due to the missing org chart, and are saying there is no pattern. Isn't it a pattern?

One advice that I read some time ago is to also upload a letter from your PI stating that he intends to hire you beyond the contract as long as there is grant money. And to explain that in academia level A employees are mostly on soft money and long contracts are very rare. This may strengthen your case a bit. I see no harm trying this.
Hi Eddy, do you know where can I get an example of such letter? I would like to ask my supervisor to sign it for me as well.

Hey guys,
Could someone pls add me to the spreadsheet.
VIsa and Nomi applied 23/05/2018
Occupation: Community Worker (ENS -TRT)
Number of people: 1
Country: HR
Status: received
Hi, how come you applied for 186 as a Community Worker? According to homeaffairs website this occupation is not eligible for 186, but for only for 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) visa, see the reference: https://archive.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/work/work/skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/combined-stsol-mltssl
P.S. Or it is similar to cooks, it was recently excluded and you got grandfathered due to 457?

That's because the system they are using is random, expect the visa to take as long as the guideline shows... anything quicker treat it as a bonus. there isn't a average time
I would not call it random. They are processing Feb 2018 at the moment, which we clearly see on this forum. One of the reason some people have to wait for longer times is their profession has been removed from the list.

Unfortunately - they typically allow 28 days for the uploading of all requested documentation. Meaning they (typically) only revist the case at best, after a month (no matter how quickly you get the documentation to them).
Probably they gonna speedup on the open cases due to the end of year.

Hi guys will anyone explain what is the meaning pf following statement that i read on immi website::::
You must lodge your visa within 6 months and YOUR NOMINATION MUST REMAIN VALID FOR THE VISA TO BE GRANTED.I am bit confused is it this way if my nomination expired do i have to lodge nomintion again as i already lodge my visa nomination approval ( nomination approved since july no news for visa yet).
EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOUR REPLIES MY FRIENDS.
THANKS
If you lodged visa application within 6 months (after nomination approval), and your employer did not revoke it then it is fine.

One question, the university HR told me that they needed to declare that they will offer me full-time employment for 2 years at the outcome of the nomination, but my supervisor can only commit a 2 years contract starting 1/1/19. With the current processing time for nomination, does that mean I will get into some trouble when a CO looks at the nomination application? I am getting mixed message regards to this issue, friend who got his 186 approved earlier this year says the 2 years starting at nomination lodge date is fine.
There is no definite answer to this. I assume it should be fine, as the most of uni contracts are three years maximum. But if the CO wants to be strict he will have the rights to reject your application based on this reason, I believe. Though, not much you can do.

I had an accident last year and Medicare covered everything including ambulance!!!
Medicare does not cover ambulance, but in some states it is covered by the government, see the reference:

What state are you living in?

Does anyone know what items that Interim Medicare does NOT cover? Thanks
Someone mentioned earlier that it does not cover ambulance costs, and a separate ambulance insurance ~80 bucks per year is needed to cover those (if one wants to).

Is it actually processing time reduced to 40 days for 187 TRT applications?
It shows 15-16 months here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times/global-visa-processing-times

Hi guys! I am very happy to share good news with you. My PR has been granted 5 minutes ago! Hooray!!!!
No docs or anything have been asked, a direct grant.
I did application by myself, and recommend you doing so, to save heaps of money.
Thank you all for the lively discussions on this forum. Be patient, and your turn will come.
It seems they started processing April applicants now, by the way.
