  1. Thanks Tulip1. When did you apply? I gather it was before you had to pay in advance and then get your paper application in within 30 days. I sent the application to our son in Perth for him to add the sponsorship form. He then sent it tracked to Parent Visa Centre (no delivery by hand allowed). I know it's only two days since it was delivered but I'm concerned it's nearly the 30 day limit. The payment on the ImmiAccount was by PayPal and I did get a receipt but, obviously, they have nothing to link that payment with. I just wondered if other Pomsinoz members have had experience with this advance payment system and how the acknowledgement is received. Any help will be gratefully received!
  2. I've noticed that previously the Contributory Parent visa was lodged before 1st VAC was paid. It's now done in advance. I sent payment on the ImmiAccount on 26 June. The application has to be received within 30 days. The application was delivered to the PVC in WA yesterday. I'm concerned that the 30 days is fast approaching. How do you normally get an acknowledgment? Is it via email or the ImmiAccount? I also notice on member's signatures that the acknowledgment was received some weeks after the application was received. Thanks.
  3. Thanks for your reply. That’s really helpful.
  4. We are ready to send our 143 application and certified documents. I need to make 1st payment on-line and include receipt and reference number. Is it OK if I pay the current amount even though the visa application is not likely to received and lodged until after 1st July when prices increase? The website does not have the rates from 1st July.
  5. I am just completing our Visa application. I need to provide evidence that our sponsor (son) is a permanent resident and, also, evidence of where he resides. Is the permanent resident visa number enough? He hasn't got Australian Citizenship yet.
  6. Thanks guys. Really appreciate your comments.
  7. Thanks Quoll. The only treatment I had was removal of the mole and surrounding tissue. I then had 3 monthly checks on that and all my moles for 12 months before being discharged. I think I’d better do as you say and talk to one of the immigration specialists.
  8. Thanks for your comments. We haven’t applied yet, just looking into it. Our son and partner are permanent residents and have been in WA for 4 years. We visit yearly and have completely fallen in love with Oz.
  9. Has anyone with health issues had problems passing their medical? I am 57 years old and have osteo arthritis in my hands. It doesn't impact on my day to day living. I work full time and I am very active, not having any sick leave from work for over 20 years. Also, two years ago I had a small malignant melanoma removed. It didn't involve any further treatment and I was discharged. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
