Congratulations
Can you let us know what documents did u keep updating on the account as I only have chat history and video call screenshots
Thanks.
We kept uploading snapshots from our chat history for each month, money transfer documents and updated bank joint bank statements, we both uploaded an updated relationship statement to detail how our relationship continued to develop since the initial application (on plain paper, not stamp paper), tickets and pictures from our joint travels, Superfund beneficiary details (I included my wife as my beneficiary), pictures of anniversary gifts/birthday gifts sent by us to each other etc.
Basically upload as much as possible. We provided everything in that specific checklist that was being sent to some members here, and also additional documents like Facebook/Instagram posts, relationship status on FB, 5 stat decs from Australia and another 3 declarations (on plain paper with passport copies) from Pakistan.
The more you provide, the better it would be as far as I can tell.
Hope this helps!

Did the status on your sponsor change
No. In fact it still says submitted. Only wife’s status changed to finalized.

Hi All,
Allhamdulillah my wife got her visa today.
We lodged online from Pakistan.
DOL: 20 January 2018
DOI: None
DOG: 06 November 2018
We did not receive any generic email or interview. Direct grant email with the grace of God.
I would recommend everyone to keep uploading documents and evidence to your immi account. Based on our experience, it speeds up the process.
Thank you everyone for the wishes and prayers. We couldn't be more happier.
This forum has been really helpful. I hope everyone waiting gets their grants soon.

I hope it comes soon! It’s a relief to see people from January being contacted now!!

Well I reckon don't apply tourist visa. My wife's tourist visa was denied earlier this month despite having the substantive and extensive documentation. She has a great bounty to go back and the biggest one is her Govt job as a Doctor. So, you will end up wasting time and money as the decision I had was nothing but a pile of bizarre reasons.
Did you apply for a sponsored visa from Australia?
Any updates on your 309 application so far? Seems like no one from January has been sent that generic email people were getting until July/August.

I had applied my case of 309 visa on 28th July 2017 through migration agent with all the proof on relationship with my husband including wedding pictures etc which took place on 25th December 2016 . Pcc and polio card were submitted on request. I received request for medical in march 2018, verification/interview call from Australian embassy Islamabad in April 2018. PCCs were requested again after the interview call. Since then there has been no update from embassy. My husband emailed the embassy through agent inquiring about my visa in August 2018, to which they replied application is going through checks. November is my 16th month and December will be 17th. My husband wants me to apply visit visa in November. I’m not sure if I should apply for 600 visit visa or wait for my 309.
Hey, I reckon apply for a sponsored tourist visa. So get your husband to sponsor you from Australia. More people have had luck getting a tourist visa that way if you have a partner visa application in process.
Can I ask, did you add a child in your application after lodging it? From what I can see on this forum and others, that is when the processing gets delayed by a few months.

Further assessment probably mean they are looking at your application. Provide everything in checklist. You should be getting visa soon.
I can't check my one . Because i applied through migration agent. I can ask them on Monday.
Mine went to further assessment back in March. So I don’t think it means they are looking at it. Though I strongly believe both yours and my wife’s application are being looked at currently as December applicants are pretty much done.

Same actually we entered 10th month. 9 months completed i guess. Remember I applied a day before you.
What's the status it shows in immi account for your application?
Intial assessment or further assessment?
For me as the sponsor it shows submitted. For my wife it shows further assessment. How about you?

Hi mate my wife 309 visa is still under construction and it has been 17 months since this visa lodgement. What you say mate
Mate that’s terrible. Are you a citizen or on PR?
Have you contacted the department here in Australia? Maybe email or call them. I saw your earlier posts, you have a child you should be with your child and wife. Send a detailed email to the embassy explaining your situation or sent a letter quoting your application reference number and explain you want to be with your family.
I don’t know what your personal circumstances are but have you considered going back to Pakistan for a few months while the process is sorted? I really hope you will hear A positive response on your application soon.

Nah you're never too late for any document. As long as you upload everything before the decision is taken, you're all good.
Cheers mate. We will upload her statement today. It’s been almost 9 months and no contact at all for us. Hopefully we hear something soon, at least an interview.

I'll answer this if I may.
Our agent was a highly reputable agent and lawyer based in Sydney. He got us to write proper statements with 5 headings, one for each of those questions. In the online form itself, he wrote "refer to the attached relationship statement" for each of those questions. Alternatively, copy-pasting the text from each question into a combined statement is also fine. The bottom line is that you must upload a signed statement each from the applicant and the sponsor.
Thanks Andy.
We wrote very detailed statements within the online application and I subsequently uploaded a signed updated statement from my end (as the sponsor) to provide details of our relationship since lodging the application. We have travelled together since lodging, had Waleema and rukhsati and met a couple of times
I’ll get my wife to type one up as well and upload with her signature. We lodged in January so hopefully we are not too late with her statement
thanks for answering the question

Even though, I haven't got visa 309 yet. I still think adding $3500 lawyer fee is good idea. $7000 is big amount but waiting time is killer , you don't want to take risk.
Hey, did you submit a written statement along with the application as well?
We only answered the questions on the online application itself as it covered all the questions. Did your migration agent get you to type up another statement as well?
Timeline (309-Spouse visa) applied in May?

We provided both.
