  1. hello, I am trying to figure out how to go about certain documents. 1. Character Assessment- how would you recommend to provide evidence of intention to obtain character assessment. Some applicants included a receipt for an application for a police check.I live in Poland so would a receipt in my mother tongue be fine plus a little clarification of what it is or would I have to have the receipt translated? The same question applies to medical examination and evidence to undergo. 2. I am confused as regards our statements about our relationship. Is one statement written by me and my husband enough covering all the pillars of our relationship or do we need additional ones for each of the areas that we will be submitting the materials for...but then again it sounds a bit of a nonsense doing it twice. Can I just make reference to it saying that the evidence is in my statement? Do I have to use the form 888 or can I write it on plain computer page as I have already done? It is already 6 pages long...not finished yet as it is a 11 year relationship. What's the best way to go? How to sign the statement...computer or in hand...print it out and scan... Does it have to be witnessed by an authority official? 3. Family Register and composition- what are the documents that I can submi here? Uff! Hope you can give me a hand and a bit of guidance. Please. Thank you.
  2. Hello, I have been working for ages on my documents and I came to the point where my files exceed 5Mb. I want to compress them but I was wondering how safe these online tools are. What other ways would you recommend as regards more sensitive documents such as bank statements, agreements etc. I scanned them and set my scanner to 150 DPI but they are still too large. In the end I was surprised that only few pages could be uploaded not to exceed 5mb. It's very frustrating when you think 'finally' and it turns out that not...again. Thank you:)
  3. Hello, can you please confirm whether I am on the right track as regards document translation and certification. I have had my documents (birth and marriage certificates, bank agreements etc) translated. Is a translation plus the original document in my mother tongue enough or do I still need to have these additionally certified by an embassy official that these documents are authentic...? I remember doing so with copies of original documents but these are original ones to be scanned for an online application and not a paper one. Thanks;)
  4. Thank you for your reply. I had most of the 'profound documents' translated but I think that I am not going to have invoices for household items or holiday stays teanslated. I will just provide an explanation. What is the first part of the procedure when lodging the application. I am confused now...you pay and get access to your immi account and upload all your documents? What is with this 2 year period...or do you upload all the essentials after 2 years from your application? But what do you submit with the payment? Please help:(
  5. Hello, Please help me out with the following queries. I would like to apply for a partner visa from outside of Australia. 1. Statutory declaration by parents not in English. Do I Have to have them translated by an accredited translator? 2. I have a 4 year old daughter who has an Australian passport. Do I have to include the application for visa 445 and does she need to meet the health requirement check-up? 3.' All non English documents need to be translated' ....invoices, bills, I presume not? Would a notice claryfing what it it that I am including in a particular file be enough? Would I need to sign the notice in any particular way, provide a statement? 4. I was sure that you upload the documents right after you make the payment for the visa and the access to your immi account is provided to you but according to sources 'You can attach the documents no more than 1 month before the 2 years from your application'. Is it so that after you lodge your application you have the period of two years to submit your documents? Thanks a million:) Have a nice day.
  6. Thx for your answer. I went vack to the page of Home Affairs and it's clearly stated that compressed and encrypted pdf files are not accepted.
  7. Can I write a note at the top of an invoice stating what it is for (vet invoice, accommodation at the lake) etc? The language is not English. Actually, I have, already started doing so and wonder now whether this would not be a problem. Thanks;)
  8. Thanks. Can I write on invoices to indicate what it is for for example 'dog training'? The language is not English.
  9. Hello, Please help me out on this one. I am racking my brains as to the best way of uploading photos and facebook screenshots. Earlier I compressed the merged photos into a pdf file but recently read on the page of Au Home Affairs that compressed files are not accepted so I decompressed them and my file with fb screenshots amounted to 26MB so I split them and it still was much too big and I did it again and it was 45MB and I just dont get how this could be. Can you aid me on rhe best way of solving the problem. Thanks a million;)
  10. Ok. Within that 5 year period how long do I have to be in Australia for the visa not to expire. Is it two years? I have to take into consideration all possibilities, you know.

  12. Hello, Please help! ?Can you please tell me when one is to enter Australia once the spouse visa has been granted. Our case is a bit complicated as we have a fair deal of things to take care of and we need to know how much time we still can be in our home country. I came across a piece of info which stated that the time is counted from the date provided on the medical check-up. Is it really so? And if so when are you asked by the officials to provide it. How does it work? Thanx.
  13. Just found information that the statement can be either written individually or jointly 'a signed written statement detailing the history of your relationship, either individually or jointly...'. I have written quite a detailed piece if work. Frankly speaking, it would save some time especially that my husband is not that fluent. What's your advice?
  14. Got it! Thank you;)
  15. I might be confusing it all. That's why I need a little help. What I have in mind are statements of relationship (proof that our relationship is genuine and continuing& the nature of our relationship )by me and my husband and statements by our friends.
  16. Oh, I see. Thank you. And which one would you recommend: form 88, stat declaration or written statement?
  17. Hello everyone, I am intending to proceed with the Statutory Declarations from both my husband and me and my friends. A couple of questions have arisen and i would be grateful if you could set me on the right track:) 1. Which is better to write ours online or to upload them? 2. As for our friends...they are non Australians. Can we forward them uncertified? As noted in one of the posts, there was no fuss about it/ 3. How long are these? I think I have written mine for 8 pages just on paper. 4. I may ask one of my Australian friends to do it for me. Do you know how much the service of certification costs in Australia? I feel uncomfortable about having to ask people to go into so much trouble and paying. Please send in a word of advice on how I should proceed. Thanx:)
  18. Hi, should I have our joint bank account agreement and bank statements translated into English? Then again it's visible that its a bank document?
  19. I was hoping I could do it on my own. My situation is rather straightforward. I think it's doable, don't you? ?
  20. The institution I had in mind is australian department of immigration and border protection. Has anyone tried getting in touch with them and succeeded? Questions keep springing to my mind. Can you please help me out with these ones;) 1.Once you are granted the offshore partner visa when do you have to cross the Australian border, what is the ultimate deadline? 2. I heard that you are to stay in Au for a certain period of time amounting to two years, I think...within a period of 5 years for the visa not to lose its validity. Not sure how it works. 3. The house is in my husband's name only. The costs of changing it is quite high so I am wondering whether a joint account, loan for the house would satisfy the visa requirements. We dont have joint bills for electricity, sewage, car etc but holiday bookings, holiday insurance in both names plus a a few envelopes, certificate of dog;), my workplace is in my house so the same address, my surname changed to my husband's.And loads of pictures from FB and Messenger. Messages from friends where we are both mentioned, contacts with his sister. 4. One technical thing. Can all invoices, receipts be prepared in a pdf file and uploaded as one item? What's the best procedure as regards photos? Have them printed out, put as many on the printer and scan them or upload single photos...but then again only 60 items can be uploaded. What would you recommend? Thanks a million;)
  21. Hello again! Please help me out with these ones;) I am so desperate for some information:) 1.Do our statements boh in English are t be signed only or certificaion is to be provided, too? 2. Which forms are a must? 3. How to send pictures, invoices, receipts, pics of envelopes, facebook and messenger snapshots. There's quite a lot of that. What's the best option/solution? Scanning them and sending as single pieces? 4. Since the documents are to be scanned and uploaded to immiaccount I understand that I don't have to have passports and other documents copied and certified....Is that right or have it done it for the future ? I'd prefer not to due to costs but if this should help and save time... 5. Can the institution in London be contacted with some of the questions. They were closed when I phoned. I tried to get in touch with an embassy in.Berlin in Germany but they don't deal with visa issues just like my home country Poland. 6. Does Regional and non regional Australia play a role when it comes to partnership visa? 7. We are thinking about coming to Au for 3 weeks to give my husband a feel of what it is all about. My question is if we get a tourist visa, fly to Au, come back...can we lodge an app for a offshore partner visa. Does the tourist visa have to expire before we apply for a partner visa? Thank you very much for all the help and comments. I feel so much more positive with all your help. We were advised to use the services of an agent but I think I can do it on my own, right? Thanks again;)
  22. So true. That's why I worry about this the most. Thanks. I finally got it how it works:)
  23. So many thanks to you! To cut the long story short, the stat dec written by an Australian must be notarized and supplemented by a copy of a passport. The other two statements written by an American and a friend living in Germany must only be signed by them and not notarized? Or does the certification/ notarization refer to everyone without exception? How long is it valid for?I was hoping to do it as soon as possible but it seems there is no point yet. Thank you once again:)
  24. Hello to all, I am struggling with a bunch of questions and would be very grateful for some help. I have an Australian citizenship and so does my 3 year old daughter( by descent). My husband is Polish and we live in Poland. We would like to apply for the offshore partner visa. As regards the certification of translated documents. According to the info provided on the website a notary public can do it. But then a question arises. He can only do it in Polish so should I have the notary's note translated? It's a bit awkward going from a translator to a notary and a translator again. As regards the less official documents (e-mails where we both figure, letters). Can I translate them myself? I am a teacher by profession .Can I translate my husband's statement about our relationship? According to the 'literature' a non accredited translator can do it. As for joint finances all bills (gas, electricity, waste etc) are written in one name, my husband that is. This is the usual practice here. The only thing we have joint is our bank account. Even our house is in.his name only. We are planning to change the house ownership document but what about all the other bills. Would this nit be enough joint bank account and house? I don't understand the point regarding form 888 and statutory declarations. Am I to provide them both or opt for one of them? What is the procedure regarding certification. Sources say that it can be witnesses by a teacher, vet, accountant etc. Is it really so and would this person have to accompany me to the notary? Please clear out this one for me? Then again.I read somewhere that a statutory declaration can only be written by an Australian. Due to translation issues I wanted my friend from the USA and Germany to write them for us as they speak English well but how to carry out this certification? I have a friend in Australia, too but don't know how to do it. I just don't understand this point. Please help me out:)
