Good luck with that. I applied early June, hoping to receive an invite in by December.
A friend of mine with 85 points got his in 3'weeks.

Hi everyone,
I had submitted my EOI in Feb 2016 with 65 points for the 189 visa as an accountant.
In Nov 2016, I have increased my points to 70 after having a year of Australian work experience assessed.
I have also applied for the 190 NSW nomination which I have already received and applied for but I have not heard from them yet.
When can I expect an invitation for the 189 visa?
How long did it take you to get your invite for 190 NSW?

It is pointless though as it doesn't speed up the process at all and an invitation even for a 190 can take a long time at the moment - I have seen 190's taking many months. Be aware of just what it means if timing goes against you. If you get the the visa one day before the 12 months is up, meaning you have a matter of hours to make first entry. Immigration will not care, you lose the visa. At the same time it in know way speeds up the visa as it just sits in the background until the point the case officer would have requested them
Thanks VERYSTROMY, the main idea was to speed up the process once I get an invite. If that's not the case then there is no point doing this now.

You have to have been invited and be lodging your final visa application before you will be given your HAP id.
You are way too early on in the process at the moment (by the sounds of it) for your medicals if you haven't even had your invite yet.
I know there is a provision to get the HAP id and the medical tests even before an invitation. I also understand the risk here of not having enough lead time once I get the visa which is fine since I plan to take off as soon as I get my 190.
The main issue is 190 does not show inh the HAP ID form.

Hi guys,
I'm trying to get my HAP id so I can get my medicals done before I receive the invite. However, in the online form visa category 190 is NOT present in the drop-down list.
Can someone advise how do I get a HAP ID for visa category 190?
Thanks
Pete

Hi guys,
I applied under 221112 Management Accountant occupation with 80 points on July 10th 2018. Does anyone have any idea how long would it take to get a response from NSW?
Thanks

Ahh... I'm in South West London (Hammersmith). It's a bit of a headache to ride in London that's if you don't find your motorcycle stolen in the morning.
If comfort and a non-sore ass are your top criteria then you need to try putting a gel seat or even better get an adventure bike. Sadly, the seats for most motorcycles have a form over function design. The S1000XR is nice two up but I know the first edition rattled your bones with the vibration.

That's confidence alright! I got a Peugeot 125cc to begin with here in the UK
Smart thinking Leigh. Always ATGATT. My scarred legs are proof I learnt the hard (and unwise) way while riding in India. I've wisened up now and got some good gear to go with my next bike.
My heart says Aprilia Tuono Factory, my head says KTM SA1290 since I love off-roading and long trips. Where are you put up in the UK?

I'll be following this thread quite closely. Been a biker for 15 years but will resume once I move to Aus, although still not sure where that will be yet.

I'm in the exact same situation. I launched a 189 and 190 EOI - would like to go to QLD, but might not get a 189 invite in the next year due to current high points situation.
However, the way you should look at it is : the 190 is a stepping stone to get to where you want to get. It's a case of I wait for the 189, I might not get a visa at all, and if I get an EOI for the 190 I will highly likely get an invite in the next few weeks (my points will drop by 5 in September 2019). I'd rather get an OZ visa than not at all.So I've finally taken the plunge and applied for both 189 and 190 with 75 & 80 points respectively. I'm a management accountant. Based on what I've read in these forums so far I'm hoping for an invite for 190 by end of 2018, a Christmas gift perhaps. Looking at ISCAH's estimates I'll only get an invite for a 189 post-July 2019 which isn't bad either, allows me to save up some more money.

Aren't they obligated to live in the nominated region for at least 24 months?
-
Guys,
Is the only difference between a 190 and 189 is the 2 year clause where the applicant has to live in the nominated region?
Do both the visas allow one to live indefinitely in Aus?

You would need to be careful. The government can (and does) cancel visas where someone is found to have taken state sponsorship with no intent
Wow....that's interesting..

That's a very good point you've made and it did cross my mind as well. My points will hold good for next two years but yes with visas it's always a gamble. A bird in hand it worth two in the bush. Since the 190 ties you to a place for only two years it may not be such a big deal overall.
May I ask what's your score and occupation category?
-
Thanks happyisland. My dilemma is if I get the 190 sponsorship from a state I'm not interested in moving to.
-
Thanks both.
Also, suppose I submit an EOI application for both 189 (75 points) and 489 (80 points) and get invited for the 489 first but decided not to pursue it, in that case, would my EOI for 189 still be active/valid?

I don't understand your question. Are you asking how long the application process takes for each one?
I meant the time from application to obtaining the PR.

Thanks for the info verystormy. Do you know how long does one have to wait for a PR under 489,189 and 190?
-
Hi guys,
I recently received my assessment results from CPA Aus and can now begin the application process. Could someone help me with my doubts. I'll be applying under the Management Accountant occupation.
1. Can I apply for 190, 189 and 489 at the time same time?
My preference is the 189.
2. What are the timelines for each one? My points for each visa are.
189 - 75 points
489 - 85 points
190 - 80 points
Any feedback would be very helpful. Thanks
Pete

I'm in the same boat and it has been over a year now, so let's see.
The new rules in November will certainly help but then again, it will help everyone the same way.
