Congrats, Seamus. Did you get requested for aos letter and form 80 before the grant of 2nd vac payment.

Hi RealMVP. I secured AOS letter and uploaded it with Form 80 back in March. Additional documents were requested in July, it was about the scan of passports and a certificate of family composition for the purpose of family balance test.

Great news @Seamus, at last some movement! I hope your parents have their visas granted soon.

Has anyone else had any movement over the last few weeks?

    Congratulations!

Thanks, the request for additional documents was received on 19/07/2018, yet it took them more than one month to send out the 2nd VAC request.

Is anybody plsss help me. My question is whether test email is still working or not.? What's the date that immi is processing now???plsss

The auto test email is always working, but we cannot send test emails too frequently. My trick is to keep two test emails 15 days apart, otherwise it won't reply.

Has anyone the auto reply from PVC today and has it been updated. The last reply I received was on 2nd July when it was still at 5th May 2015. Hoping that we get an update today as it’s Friday. I think I write too many times to check so not receiving any updates.

Yesterday I received an email from PVC requesting additional documents. Apparently a visa officer is looking at my case now. My lodgement day was 12th May 2015. So I believe the queue is moving a little bit forward.

    Morning All!

Thanks CAT LADY and SEAMUS for your comments and replies. Four months, Cat Lady! How frustrating! Hope the wait was worth it?

SEAMUS - good luck with your application. One question: How do you know they are 'finalising' apps up to end of April?? In the test email it only tells you the lodgement date of apps they are 'assessing' not 'finalising'.

    Cheers

Yes you are true, they now use 'assessing' rather than 'finalising' in the auto reply email.

    Hello Everyone!

I am new to this thread - as a contributor - but have been viewing the thread since the 'Orphan' days. I loved Orphan's blog, as it was so informative and well-written and I was sorry to see him go. However, that was in 2014 (if memory serves) and things have changed - somewhat.

    My story (briefly):

Back at the end of 2014, both daughters were in Australia, one with citizenship and the other awaiting permanent residency (now received) but they were both single and at the back of my mind I had convinced myself that, eventually, they would come home. My partner suggested that I ask  (with no emotional baggage) to tell me honestly what their plans were.

So they told me  . . . honestly.

At the beginning of 2015 we started to get the paperwork ready to apply for 143 visa and we lodged it in March 2015. A year later we sold the house to release money for the visa. Back then we thought we would have to wait 24 months - hahaha!

The waiting and sending off 'Test' emails and being in turn heartened and dejected began. As you ALL know - once you have made this decision - your life changes totally. My partner is still working, but I stopped when we sold the house, to move into rented near to where he works. But - no matter what you do - work, hobbies, voluntary work, socialising - it is always at the back of your mind and often at the very front - dancing around, evilly!!

Then on 5/01/18 we were contacted to supply the usual extra paperwork.(How anyone passes the medicals without their blood pressure going through the roof is beyond me!) Extra blood tests were required - more stress and expense.

    Then the AoS experience.

My daughter duly went to Centrelink with all the paperwork on 9/01/18. True to their word a telephone interview was carried out seven weeks later. Two weeks after that she was asked to pay the bond, etc. The bank guarantee was then submitted to Centrelink on 12/03/18. Then we waited for the Acceptance Letter . . . . and waited . . . . and waited. Five weeks later my daughter, after being put on hold for an hour, managed to talk to someone at Centrelink who read a message to her from the AoS team. They said that there was an eighteen week wait from lodgement. When she asked which lodgement date - the person at the other end of the phone said 18 weeks from lodgement of bank guarantee in March!!

I had to stay in bed all morning.

BUT - she was given the wrong info! It was 18 weeks since original lodgement in January! Last Thursday we received the AL and promptly sent it off. I had an email today acknowledging it and saying a case officer would be assigned soon. No idea how long it will be now. Reading all your interesting info makes me think it might be July and the new financial year.

This whole process requires immense patience and fortitude (even though you could almost chew your own hand off in frustration at time). I feel so lucky to be in the position to be able to apply in the first place - and I have to keep reminding myself of this fact. Now we are on the last leg I feel much more relaxed and resigned to waiting.

My appreciation to the overworked people at Centrelink and PVC. Thank you for your efforts and for keeping us informed when you can!!

Hi welcome. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am the sponsor of my parents. Now we are on the same page, having all supplementary documents finished and waiting for the request of the 2nd VAC. I noticed your lodgement date is in Mar 2015, while mine is May 2015. I believe your case will very soon be processed since currently PVC is finalising applications up to 30 April 2015, while mine probably will not be processed until the new FY.

What category did you use to upload the documents? I don't see a category for assurance of support ... "Evidence to support claim" or "Financial" or something else?

Nope, still waiting for a case officer. I chose 'Evidence to support claim', I was not sure which category is right. But anyway I waited 4 weeks no response and I called them to get the acceptance letter done.

I've made an AoS application ... done the telephone interview ... now have a letter to pay $10000 at the commonwealth bank.

What happens after this? Does the bank give me something to take back to centrelink or is it automatic? If I have to take it back to centrelink, does it have to be in person or can I do it online? The original AoS application was online.

I had the receipts from bank scanned and uploaded to centrelink through mygov, easier than submitting the hard copy to centrelink in person.

That's brilliant news for everyone waiting. As you can see from my signature - we waited months for the phone call.

I waited 8 weeks after submitting the AOS and still no call, so I called them to get the interview done. I also called another time to finally have the acceptance letter secured. It took me more than three months in total.
