Yeah sorry perhaps my response was a little direct. I'm worldly wise enough to understand that every country has its issues... in fact I lived in Australia about 6 years ago and know this all too well. However it's about whether the balance works for you as an individual I guess!

Thank you for the links above. As I stated in my first post, our reasons for wanting to move are the above plus many others which I'm not willing to discuss on a public forum.

Good afternoon/evening/morning folks! My wife and I are currently considering our options regarding our location... IE we are not happy with the state of the UK at present and having just had a little one are fearing for her future here. Anyway, enough of the long list of reasons we are looking at Australia and onto the Visa process. Having done a little bit of digging it appears that my wife's profession(actuary) is currently on the national skills list - happy days. However, we may be able to have her company sponsor her out there.. My (very basic) question here is "which is the best route to take?" IE what are the pro's and con's of each approach. Additionally, has anyone had any experience with Immigration lawyers? If so, would there be someone you would recommend? Excuse the perhaps broad/vagueness of questions at this stage but is early days for us and we want to attack the correct approach
