  1. I actually done a lot more than 45. But because they don’t have a record (or can’t find one currently for the other 10 days) they won’t write a supporting statement.
  2. Hi all, Hope someone can help. I am currently in the process of completing the application to move to Aus as a secondary teacher. However, I’ve hit a few bumps in the road. When I completed my PGCE it was awarded by 2 different universities - University of East Anglia and University of Essex. I need to get a letter from one of the above to state that I have completed at least 45 days supervised teaching practise during my training year. However, as they were only the awarding bodies they do not have any record my actual days. Unfortunately, the University of Suffolk (whom I completed my PGCE with) only recorded 35 days. What do I do? Is someone able to help please? This would be the final bit of my application before I can send it off and it’s really dragging out! Thanks in advance ben

  9. Thank you for spending the time to reply. I used up my working holiday when I was younger. A migration agent has been looking into my experience, qualifications etc and it appears I am eligible. So fingers crossed. Thank you again Ben
  10. Haha I know. I need to live this dream!! I’m looking at all options at the moment. I was in Australia for 2 years on a working holiday visa some time ago. I would like to end up in QLD. Thanks for the interest and offering your help Thanks Ben

  13. Hi guys I am just looking at my options for my move to Australia! When I was younger, I spent 2 years in Oz and pretty much decided then that I want to live in QLD. Looking at my options - state sponsorship is an option. However, I understand that QLD is not offering this at the moment (please let me know if this is wrong). I believe (again, let me know if I’m wrong) that NSW is offering state sponsorship. I have family in QLD - another reason I’d like to move there. Please can someone let me know of their experiences of state sponsorship? Do I have to live and work in the state that sponsored me for a certain period of time? What happens at the end of it? Any help/advice would be gratefully received. Thanks Ben
  14. Hi all, I have been looking at different companies to look after my visa application. I have considered doing it on my own, but I’m thinking because of timing/hassle etc - having a company look after it for me might be the way forward. Can anyone please recommend companies/people they have used before? Thank you all in advance Ben
  15. Hi guys Thanks so much for leaving a reply to my topic. Really appreciate it. On looking back, I guess my topic was slightly brief and could do with some detail. I was on a working holiday visa (2 year) when I was 19 (now 28) and loved the country . My sister and brother live in Brisbane plus I have many friends over there. It’s always been an ambition to get over there - but the timing was never right. I studied 3 years BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching & Physical Education. Plus one year PGCE. I trained for post 16 but can teach secondary too. I can imagine that PE is very popular and has little demand for jobs because a lot of people want to do it. To give me a head start, where should I be looking for teaching jobs? Is there anything I can do to get ahead of others? Or should I potentially retrain? I have been in discussions with Go Matilda to help with my applications - any recommendations? Thanks guys Ben
  16. Hi all, I've just signed up to this to hopefully engage with you all and to gain some knowledge! I am at the start of my application stage and I was just flicking through jobs last night on seek.au Currently, I am working as a PE teacher at a Sixth Form College delivering A - Levels & BTEC qualifications. Whats everyones thoughts on securing a teaching position Down Under? My aim is to move to QLD around the Brisbane area. Ideally, I'd like to move into a PE position - but I'm happy to get into any education position to give me the the experience required. Any thoughts would be received with a happy face Thank you in advance guys, Ben
