Thank you for your replies. According to the defence website, there are a number of areas that they are looking to recruit to. I know from looking at other forums that the process is quite lengthy, about 2 years. It would be good to hear from others that have made the move over recently. Again, if anyone knows of any other forums I can find any further information, then please let me know.

We are considering a move to Australia with my husband applying for th RAN through the lateral transfer process. I just wanted to find out more about the likelihood of relocations in Australia every 2-4 years and the length of deployments. Would appreciate any information anyone has on this.
