  1. Thank you to all who posted for the insight and advice. I’m still unsure of what is the right thing to do and not being a decisive person I over think things far to much. One thing I am sure of though is some sacrifice has to be made If we want to move forward. Thanks again Adam.
  2. Yeah the big things will happen what ever. Like you say it’s the small things.
  3. My parents aren’t exactly thrilled with the idea and as a family we’re not the best at communicating and talking about it never seem to happen. I have a brother but he has health limitations which will only deteriorate as he gets older but he has his own family he as you can imagine is in a similar page to my parents which is understandable. I think he worries about being the go to for sorting anything if I leave.
  4. I should have been clearer in my post. It’s her sister who’s in Australia. I know we have a long journey ahead which given the difficulties of a visa may answer the question for me but I want to be fully on board. my wife has never been overly close to here parents but very close to her sister. Being a woman and a lovely forward thinking person she able to see the benefits and deal with the sacrifices and the emotions of the decision far better than me. I’m basically and emotional dinosaur .
  5. I'll be quick promise, In a nut shell my wife wants to move over to W/A to be with her family and to give our children the opportunity of living outside the UK. While I fully agree with her on most fronts I find myself really struggling with the idea of leaving my parents in the U.K, They are both in good health given their age 76 and 69. I know ultimately it's down to me to decide but I can't help feeling like it's a awful thing to do. Any advice from others that have gone through this would be welcomed.
  6. I will get all our bits and pieces together and contact him. May I say again thanks for all the information so far, it's all very helpful.
  7. I'm thirty nine at the moment and my partner is thirty three she is trying to find out what if anything her fdsc in animal welfare and management qualifies her to do in Australia.
  8. Thanks good advice I hadn't given that much thought. I will be to old to retrain and get the experience needed I will have to hope my partners skills are needed
  9. I had thought of that. Sorry if I come across a little dim.
  10. I've always work in manufacturing in the U.K. I have spent most of my time in the marine trade as a boat builder but I never qualified as I learned on the job from a young age. I am now working for a sports car manufacturer in the U.K. I'm very keen to move I think maybe training in a trade skill is the way forward. Wher can I find a list of wanted skills?
  11. Perfect, thanks for all the advice so far.
  12. I see, that's good information thanks. Is there any other information that would be of good use? And advice on where to start the journey of visa would be very useful.
  13. I understand that it makes perfect sense.
  14. So you must have a wanted skill for all applications regardless of any sponsorship?
  15. Hello everyone, My family and I are wanting to move to the Perth area from the U.K. My self and my partner have none of the required skill that are currently on the list but we do have family in in Perth who are willing to let us stay with them and be our sponsors.
