Morning Everyone!!!

I've received my golden email yesterday 26/02/2019 after exactly 12 months from applying!! It was a very long stressful journey but I had faith in God that i will receive my PR eventually

Hi Andy, how would you apply again under DE stream if your occupation is on the STSOL? did you confirm this with your MA?

My Agent knew about this, but she says Why didn't I inform about my work experiences to her three years ago. I don't know how could I have informed her, when I did not know this issue. No point arguing with her now.      The skill assessment were okay with my work experience, and they approved it, yet Immi did not accept that. 

Now My ma is suggesting to go for TRT stream because I have completed two and a half years on 457.  I don't have the heart or anymore strength to go through the ordeal, all over again. 

But, I think I will be in a better mental state in the next few days..

I applied 457 in 2016,  186 DE was applied on June 2017. So the CO did not take into consideration my work experience, after June 2017.

I'm so sorry to hear about this situation. can you appeal on visa refusal?

Yes strange they usually update the Immi account processing times prior to the website. Mine still shows 11 to 16 months (DE)

Hi everyone, who is still waiting on further assessment and how long have you been waiting?

I'm sitting on further assessment since 26 Jan and its just very frustrating.

What about the maternity leave entitlements ( 18 weeks paid by Centerlink) do you still get it if you have been granted PR after 01/01/19?

No, they have not requested before nomination approval. I initially provided experience letter from my previous employer but my MA suggested to provide payslips, and employment contract as well.

Finally received some good news.

Nomination was approved on 26/01 (Saturday) and Visa application has been moved to initial assessment.

documents requested: Australia and overseas work experience.

fingers crossed I'm close to my golden email.

There is definitely the reason they refused your application. I suggest you to speak to your MA.

Our first application got refused in May 2018 and there were some financial reasons to that and we decided to reapply.

I have just been given the golden email - granted my PR with no required documents needed. So crazy happy right now!. I received an email from the department so I'm guessing even my MA doesn't yet know as they are QLD based.

 I was hoping for a January outcome but think March - April is somewhat more realistic now. Fingers crossed  the next timeframe update doesn't change, it will be due soon I should imagine 

same here, I was hoping for an outcome in 2018. same date of application. fingers crossed for both of us.

The request came from immigration on the 13/12/18. As immigration give 28 days to collate the information requested, does anyone know how long it usually takes to get an answer on our nomination after the 28th day?

Hex, as far as I know that if your friend's occupation is on STSOL, he/she can NOT apply for 186 DE nor TRT as per March 18 new rules.

This is the only thing i can think of.

PROCESSING TIME for DE have been reduced

SAME HERE. very frustrated with the long wait. I thought my occupation would be prioritized but i was wrong.

- Worst case scenario (if you really can't see what changed) you could call and ask your MA - they should be able to confirm.

One of a few things could have happened here;

- There is a message waiting for you (go to the "Messages" and check for any).
- The CO updated the application by providing some information (documents of sorts / bridging visas).
- A medical / similar was complete and an external party (BUPA) updated the application with the same (this should appear in the documentation section as well).
- A status change (which you already noted is not the case).
- Your MA updated the application with additional / updated documents (possibly a new PCC etc.)

I'm of the opinion that whenever a case is "updated", you should be able to see (by looking within the application itself) what the change was (90% of the time).

Hi Guys,

I have a business trip coming up end of Nov and i'm worried that my nomination would get rejected during my trip and I wont have the chance to appeal.

any advise? i applied on 26 Feb and status is still received.

I applied in the mid of January 2018,  Nomination and Visa took 8 months 1 week to get approved. I can realise how stressful it was. But I should say sincerely that the experience of the people writing in this forum helped me a lot to develop my insights. My advice is whenever you are applying, try to understand the whole process carefully. Dont depend on the Migration Agent blindly. 

I wish all waiting here, will get their result as soon as possible. Good wishes for everyone.
