  1. Thank you @VERYSTORMY , when I had a brief meeting with an agent at a jobs fair in Scotland last August, she said it would be better if my partner and I go on the same visa, we need to prove we have lived together for 1 year, which is fine easy enough. As it is fairly racking up cost wise with visas, medical, police checks, skills assessments etc looking at £4500+ (If we do the process ourselves) we are thinking it will be about 2-3 years time wise to move over, as I have been told it can take anything upto 12-14 months to be granted, or if we go with an agent another £2500 on top of everything else. My son will also be included on the visa, he is 14 at present and if its within this time frame he will be under 18. Are there any pointers you could give me or where to start out, ( what would be best doing first) etc, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you Kelly x
  2. Hi Nemesis Yes, sorry I forgot to mention this, I know I need a skills assessment from ANMAC and all the relevant documentation before the EOI, im just looking for abit of information from anyone that had any pointers or been through this before, or from a nurse perspective, thank you though
  3. Hi all I am new to this and looking for some advice please! I am a newly qualified registered general nurse and looking into a PR visa, I understand this will be a 189 visa which I need to note a EOI first of all and then wait for an invite, this gives myself, going on points of 65 which will include 5 points because of my partner, (he will be included in my visa) as I dont have alot of work experience due to just being qualified and being at university for 3 years with hospitals experience included withing my degree. The 190 gives me 70 points. My partner works as a painter and decorator and he would also qualify for the 189 visa and has worked within his job role for 15 years +, which one of us would be best applying and then for the other to be included within the visa, i also understand that I need to sit an English test. Also is it easy enough going through the process of it yourself with noting the EOI and then paperwork etc or would it be easier going through an MARA agent, quotes given by them are about £2500. Many thanks kelly x
