Good evening, I had a quick question regarding question 24 on the form 80 "are you applying for a temporary visa?" As i am applying for a 309, i was under the impression it would be a "yes" to that question, however, it then asks for proposed leaving dates etc, this is making me wonder if ticking yes is the right move, as based on wether the visa gets accepted or not, i would hopefully be in australia until the 100 was reviewed and again hopefully accepted. Any guidance would be appreciated. Many thanks :)

Hi guys, Im currently an aircraft technician (Mechanical) with the british royal air force, and have done this for 8 years, ive currently got a HNC in mechanical engineering as well as an advanced apprenticeship level 3 in aeronautical engineering, i cant seem to find out how i go about getting these accredited to their australian equivalents, from what ive gathered so far, i need to go through the TRA but from looking at the site the only option that i can see is the migration skills assessment, could someone offer any advice on this matter? As from reading other forums im fairly sure ill need some form of skills recognition to get employed in australia? could anyone also offer any good links or guidance on how difficult it will be to find employment in australia, with my skillset? Were moving to the northern territory, as my partner being an australian citizen already has a well paid job lined up in that area. thanks in advance matt

Hi guys, New to the forum and after some advice if possible, im a current uk citizen who is in a relationship with an australian, Were looking to head over to aus as i leave the armed forces in the summer, im fairly happy tha i need the 309 visa, but could someone provide me with a bit more information on the application process?
