Hi laf and further info peeps,

I'm new here and I just wanted to show you some support because my partner and I are going through pretty much the same situation! we are using a migrant agent so we can't check the progress on immi website. our visa application (820) got refused previously due to some stupid technical mistake so we can't afford to get it refused again!! We are just hoping the police checks that they asked for are the only documents they need to finalized the application! 🤞

Our experiences all seem so vastly different! We have recently had our 309/100 granted thankfully. It wasn’t without challenges - including a less than helpful agent - and I recently discovered that our application was “on hold” despite not having any idea about that! We are foster carers in the U.K. and due to needing to move children to new carers before we left the U.K., we asked the high commission (via our agent) for further clarity on the processing times, especially as the timings kept changing and we needed to know when to move the children on. Anyway, the high commission somehow took this as necessary to put our application on hold!! We had no idea and kept seeing other grants happening. I decided to question the agent again and she made it very clear how much of a nuisance I was being. Nonetheless, we paid her and I still felt it was important to figure out what was going on. In the end, she contacted them and she realised the mistake had been made. A week later, the visa was granted. People, please ask questions. You have paid such a lot of money for the visa and also, if you have chosen to, for your agent. I’m pleased I continued asking questions, otherwise we’d still be waiting. All the very best to you all.

    So you gorgeous people

It is Sunday night in Oz and am about to start my next week of worrying and waiting and wondering.  Hands up who thinks this week may be the week for them 😆

In my mind I've decided to try and not think about it until December as that's when the 28 days given to me to respond to the request for further info is up and in my mind the case worker has just set a review at the end of those 28 days......

I will of course still wake up every morning and turn first to my emails to see if there is any news 🙃

I read this post the other day and secretly hoped that it would be our week. I didn’t want to jinx it and write anything, but we got our 309/100 tonight!! I’ve actually already arrived in aus now and my hubby (the applicant) is heading out in a couple of weeks! Thank goodness for that!! All the very best to everyone waiting. Fingers crossed that the waits are quick, boringly normal and that your lives in Aus are full of happiness.xx.

Nice to see everyone getting there visas. Looking more like 2 years for mine.

Here was my post from April  have appealed the decision in June with the AAT but been told will take up to 18 months to get a court date for the appeal then go from there I guess  whole thing been a nightmare

    Hi all.

Ok so I applied for my partner visa on the 6th March 2018, my Mara agent sent all the supporting evidence along with the visa application and as far as we knew all was great

after 4 weeks we received an email from the embassy with a refusal letter stating they hadn’t got any of the supporting evidence

there was a note on the log in page on the immi account that some clients were experiencing technical difficulties uploading documents but as far as my agent saw everything had been uploaded

We applied for a refund to which they refused that  we are now in the process of appeal  it has been 2 months since we sent the documents off

has anyone got any experience in this section with regards to how long the appeal will take

We feel like after paying £5.5k not one person at the embassy has even looked at our application and due to an error there end we are suffering because of thus

The whole situation is terrible the way the embassy have dealt with us  and to see on this forum someone else applied a month before us and they were approved within 23 calendar days

Oh Ben, that’s is horrendous- I’m so sorry to hear how you’ve been treated. I wish there was something we could do to help. Keep asking advice and questions. Someone here may be able to offer a bit of useful info or advice that may help. You’re in my thoughts. X

Thanks Katiebobbles- it’s so exciting! I just hope this visa comes along soon. I don’t understand why it’s not through yet!!! Hope we didn’t do something wrong! Same to you anyway, and I hope your wait is over soon too. Jon the Hat...same to you too and any others who are still waiting, whether early or late in the process. Xx

Very good! Silly question, how do you get your visa details in the footer of your posts?

You go to account, account settings and then you’ll see a tiny little drop down arrow that says settings area. Then you can click signature. You can do it there Stoney. We had our leaving party today as I’m flying out on Wednesday. Would have liked the visa for my hubby by now but I’m sure it will be soon. Good luck everyone!xx

    So who is still waiting?!

Katie Bobbles you got asked the same as me. Where been on last 10 years and residential addresses. Even though it was on form. I'm now panicked I missed something.... My husband had bokdiays without me but they were stag dos and a family catch up I had to miss because of no annual leave. Hope that's not messing us up.

Jon I'm assuming no news for you either?

It's so hard. Its reassuring others are getting theirs through but has made me so much more anxious.

Well guess we just have to hang on in there.

Bit of a pointless post but there we go!

We’re still waiting too and not a peep from our agent. From a screenshot of my hubby’s application, it’s still on “received.” Sooo excruciating waiting! 7 months now but should be soon-ish....I hope!! One day we may look back at this as a distant memory but now it feels really relevant and painful!!

Jon they are just saving the best til last .... that's what I'm telling myself anyway!!!!!! ... as long as London is still moving then I won't panic (too much!!!!!)
    Hope you hear something soon

Awww, yes I am hoping that too Jon the Hat and Katiebobbles! No doubt our applications are in the pile of the guy/gal who has gone on annual leave for 3 weeks! I’m sure it won’t be long!! Pleeeeasssse!

I asked my agent for an update and they replied with a request for further info which appeared that day.  However, they were a bit brusque when chasing them to upload the further information, but credit to them they have done it and it was because they wanted to carefully check it which is what they are there for.  Your agent sounds a bit rude to be honest!

Thanks Dondons1uk for your reply. I’m not sure whether we just have a dud agent but with all the visas being granted lately, I’m a bit scared why ours hasn’t happened as we have such little access to any info or communication with the agent. Patience eh?!

What happens when you contact him to ask for a report?

Recently I asked for an update and said that I’d seen some movement with others who’d lodged at a similar time. I asked if she’d seen any visas granted out of London recently and the email I received said, “None at all.” That was it. No update - just a three word answer. I’ve asked in the past for an update and I get told that she’s have been in touch if anything had changed. So I’m completely in the dark and feel like I can’t ask. I can’t see the Immi account either. What a waste of money!! Anyone else experience this?

We just had my husband's 309 and 100 Granted!!!!! We submitted our application on 19 June and front loaded all documents, medical checks and police checks for both he and I.

We are sooo excited and cant wait to be in Oz by Christmas!!! Best of Luck to you all xx

Congratulations! Wonderful news! Are you able to give some further details about your application? Married, kids etc? We applied in early April and have heard nothing - all front loaded too!

Ooh now I'm confused. I haven't submitted my Oz police check as sponsor because I haven't lived there for over 12 months in the past 10 years. I thought that was ok (everything else for my husband's application is front loaded ie both our UK police checks). My migration agent certainly didn't mention it. I don't want to spend money I don't need to but also don't want to delay things. Has anyone been in a similar situation and was asked for Aus police checks? We lodged 12 April 2018 and yet to hear anything...

Hi! I’m in the same situation but my agent said they won’t want a police check for me for the same reasons. I don’t want a delay! She even said I didn’t need a U.K. police clearance...I’ll email her and clarify and let you know what we find out. We lodged the same week as you and no news yet either. X

  12. Hello all,

I have a quick question regarding my PGCE...

I qualified with a general primary (5-11) PGCE and wondered if I could potentially find work as a reception teacher (ie Early Years Teacher) in the 4&5 year old age range?

Cant seem to find much info on the specific comparisons with my qualification and that of an Aussie one. I’m actually an Australian citizen but have lived in the U.K. for  most of my adult life and am going back to Aus soon - Adelaide!

Otherwise, do any of you get good TRT work in Adelaide?

    Thanks in advance lovely folks!

Lodged in June 18, Medical and police checks completed by 31st July 18, so should be decision ready. However still sat on "recieved" and not a peep.
Have limited myself to checking it once a week as a max, otherwise will go mad!!!!
Have you lodged Askem??? What are your stats???

Hello - yes we lodged in April and it’s still on ‘received.’ It was all front loaded too because our agent said it would likely only take 4 - 6 months. The goalposts changed somewhat though when they raised the processing times and I nearly had a heart attack! I have literally everything crossed and was pleased to see the change to 13 months. X

I guess it depends if your application was decision ready or not, I don't see why if it was it should be any slower because you didn't get a request.

In other news, I see the processing time has dropped to 14-16 months today ? I do like being right, I said it would drop again and there had been year end shenanigans.

Wow! That’s awesome news Jon the Hat! I looked last night and it was still 21 to 26 months! Great news to wake up to! Fingers crossed!

My husband had his 309 granted today. It's taken almost 6 months since we uploaded his medical etc following a request from the case officer. Now we're hoping that the 100 notification follows soon!

Hopefully this means things are starting to move again in London and others will hear soon too.

Absolutely wonderful news!! Congratulations! Now it is time for home! All the best! Where are you settling? X
