I’m 100% sure you have to stay with your employers for 2 years AFTER your visa is granted. Ask any registered migration agent and they will answer the same.
If you’re leaving before 2 years period AFTER your visa is granted you’re risking losing your PR without a good explanation. They’re checking tax papers ever since July 2017 last year.
Please bear in mind that in the visa application form, you are required to declare your intention to work in the nominated position for at least two years.  This goes without saying that when you file your application, you hold the intention to work for the nominating employer in your capacity as stated in the agreement for at least two years after the visa is granted.
 

I applied in direct entry in October 2016 as chef. 25/may yesterday my file is opened they requested documents.

my friend got nomination refused he applied 13/01/17 as cook.
after 457 visa worked with employer last 6 years and immigration said business can not afford him next two year more without any documents request by immigration just straight away just refused so sad and very bad. So plz guys everyone I am telling from experience plz
provide latest bas, p and l statement and your accountant letter which state business can afford you two year. Plz update before too let . Into you file.Thanks

No reason given in my email but my employers recieved email is related to the buisness turnover 

I applied 187 visa and nomination on Oct 16...My nomination was approved May 2017.Then case officer asked for medical and police check..everything done and submitted on June 2017...still waiting for Visa...
Anyone one knows,How long the nomination is valid for and what is the waiting period for Visa after nomination approved...

Agreed! Its pretty stressful being in limbo for so long. I applied when the processing time was 5-8months (oct 16) with the expectation of spending around 2 and half three years max in the outback. Now looking at 4 years minimum and unsure if thats really what i want. 
I figure ive been waiting nearly 20 months now so im just going to try and wait the decision out and hope spirits are lifted, weight of my shoulders etc or if its refused then thats the decision made for me and i wont have the' what if id of stuck at it' thoughts. 
I know it dosent feel like it but everyday that passes is one step nearer to a decision, everything crossed for everyone [emoji5][emoji5]

Has any onshore cook from October 2016 got any response from immi yet ?

BAS and Business GST return should be attached with you nomination application not in the visa application file.  As far i know 

Contact your MA and ask for update. He/she has to give you answers, updates and any other reasons

No... Mine is a different one. But my friend, you need to keep chasing him and make sure he is uploading all the documents. My employer and me trusted my lawyer and believed that he is doing his job. But he didnt. We sent all the documents he asked but he didnt upload them. He got nothing to lose. It is just another visa for him.But I lost all my hope and im at the starting point again and is a big waste of money. So make sure you dont have a difficult situation like many of us.

Thanks for your reply. I havent studied in regional area. I have cert 4 in commercial cookery through RPL and 4 years fulltime experience as cook. I also have skill assessment for cook. Is it wise to apply for 190 or 489??I have 60 points includin the points given by the state. I live in a regional area in QLD.
