Never thought of contents insurance. Thanks for the hint!

Hi Everyone. Just wondering if anyone had experience with migrating to Australia and their mobile phone insurance. I currently have an iPhone that is 6 months old and covered by a UK insurer. Is it possible to pick up insurance in Australia on a PR visa for my mobile when it will be a) less than a year old and b) purchased in the UK when I move to Sydney in January? My current insurance allows 90 days overseas cover but this doesn't really help unfortunately. Thanks
