Hi there,
wondering how did you go? I'm currently waiting for NSW or Vic invitation at 70 points (65+5) and have no idea how long would it take
Hi there
unfortunatly we have decided to call it a day with Australia. Itās been Ā to long and children are getting older and starting exams etc. I feel the system is unclear and not transparent enough regarding its true needs for occupations.Ā
I hope you get an invite though and it goes quick for youĀ

I think you have a really good chance of getting a 489 visa as you have 65 points plus you would get 10 more putting you at 75 points.Ā
For Western Australia do you need a contract of employment for full time work?
Thanks, Iām not sure about work I will look into that. Thanks for the info just checked the website about the regional areas you were right there are nine. I think itās worth a try. Will check with visa agent about job contracts etc. Thank you for all your help in answering my questions.Ā
Will update if successful x

Pauline, you will get 10 points if you get offered a 489 visa. In western Australia on a 489 you have to live in a regional area. I believeĀ there are 9 regional areas. You can not live in Perth as it is not a regional area.Ā
Do you think I stand a chance of getting that visa thanks. I have family in Western Australia will that help thanks Ā

Yes, for the 254415 critical care and emergency nurseĀ the 489 visa is an option in western Australia.
Ā
Thanks for that I just wanted to confirm as sometimes you feel like your banging your head against a brick wall what do you think my chances are of securing a 489 with 65 points basic 70 with state nomination and does the 489 in Western Australia allow you to live and work wherever you like or are there restrictionsĀ
thanks again for your info

Pauline, Which anzsco code are you? If you are a Nec nurse Victoria will be a possible option for a 190 visa. For NSW it will take a very long time to obtain sponsorship as they invite the people with highest points first. Northern Territory have nec nurse on their list not sure if you will get 190 or 489 .Ā Western Australia does not have nec nurse on their list And South Australia just added extra conditions to the nec nurse 190 and 489. If you have a different anzsco code it could offer more options.
Hi thanks for your reply Iām the emergency and critical care one. I thought the Western Australia website said 489 was possible for this one but not 190. ThanksĀ

Hi
i am a registered nurse with 3 years experience I am having difficult time getting invite.
my agent said to speed up I should apply for 489 but she thought Northern Territory I should go for.Ā
Since putting it in I have been looking at Western Australia it seems that nurses are eligible for a 489. Can someone please confirm I have that right and also the chances of getting one I have 65 points basic add another five for state sponsored I also have N uncle who lives in Perth.
thanks in advanceĀ

Hi there
im a nurse also degree level I have had an Eoi in since beginning of year still no invite. If I had applied for aphra at the same time as skills assessment I would have had to fly out to oz just to show face with no guarantee of invite or visa. Personally I would do anmac first then try get visa before doing aphra. Hope all goes well

Thanks everyone for your replyĀ
i got message from skill select just confirming the increase in my points so will hopefully be soon. Ā

Hi there
i have had an EOI in since December 2017 with 60 points for 189 and 65 for nsw 190. My points go up next week for work experience activating my 189 again with 65 points and bringing my nsw to 70 points. I have been feeling very unsure if I will ever get an invite does anyone in nursing have any idea if Iām likely to get invited any time soon after points go up.Ā
Thanks in advanceĀ

I applied for NSW mid June with 65+5 (nurse) I have not received an invite. However Queensland opened there sponsorship. I applied there the beginning of July. Invited for nomination in 5 weeks. Submitted nomination on Friday. Invited to apply for visa Monday. Fingers crossed visa application will be in soon.Ā
Hi kala
is it still the 190 visa for Queensland as last year I was told they donāt sponsor under the 190.Ā
Wondering if that was nonsenseĀ
thanks
-
Hi Iām still eligible as I have 65 points including state sponsorship for nsw however we thought I would have received invite by now. My points go up next month to 65 for 189 and 70 for nsw so hopefully this makes a difference if not think we will have to call it a day.

They are still inviting carpenters with 55+5 as we submitted our EOI just before the invitations stopped for this financial year. Feedback from a contact in the department stated he has looked at our application and we should be invited in the next round for 190! I reckon electricians /nurses are the same. They have no date for when the invitations are going to open again but will be after June 30th. dont Ā know if this helps but thought Iād share what I know.
Not sure why you have not been invited I know a nurse last September who submitted EOI , gotĀ invited and got visa all within 5 weeks (189 with 65 points as far as I know! ) she was in Sydney.Ā
Thanks for that
yes thatās what Iām thinking as an electrician got invited with 65 pints within weeks and as far as I know nurses and electricians are in the same boat as far as demand goes and occupational ceilings. Need to chase whatās going on
Ā
thanks for the informationĀ

Yeah but there has been electricians with 60 points getting state nomination as I believe your link is for 189 visas only.
happy to be corrected if I wrong

Ā
So it's for the 189 list but gives u an idea of demands of trades
Thanks for that information itās useful although itās making me wonder even more so why I havenāt received an invite. I submitted my EOI on 17/01/18 60+5 points for registered nurse which has good occupation ceiling like electrician.Ā
Any insight as to why I havenāt received an invite would be appreciatedĀ
