Well.... just sharing my case.
Today is officially 2 years of me waiting since my bridging visa C was approved after applying for 187 direct entry.
My MA said to apply for the 3 steps at the same time as my previous visa was about to expired, so we did. 2 years after, my case hasn't been allocated, I have called immigration several times to always get the same response, to just wait. My MA says the same, to wait.
I'm from an HR country and my occupation is Interior Designer in WA. I have been working with my employer for 2 years and a month... I have been through hell with them and this wait is not worth it anymore. Now looking at other options and leave Australia behind. Is ridiculous that immigration have people waiting for such a long periods when we don't even know if the visa is going to get approved or not.
Good luck to the all the people that is still waiting.
I can feel u. Gud luck to u

HI Fiza,
I just spoke to my MA and he said to me, at this point of time office manager is safe. however, its depend on the company size and finances.
At the moment, Retail manager is in real trouble. he told me that in just last 4,5 weeks he have seen over hundred refusals and all of them about retail managers. and reason is the same for each refusal.
and that is the main reason immi reduce the processing time. according to him retail manager are 55-60 % of all the RSMS application nation wide. so we will be seeing further reduction in processing time and it may goes to 12-14 months back again. in next 2 months. if immi keep refusing retail managers.
Thanks
I hope the time reduces n wish gud luck to all the retail managers.
Can u plz share ur timeline n state?

I have got a bad news yesterday that my nomination has been rejected. it is so frustrating and disappointing.
the reason is so silly that the position is NOT manager position they consider it is supervisor.
It seems to me that they try to find some kind of absurd excuse to intentionally reject applications especially low skill level professions.
I would not recommand anyone to apply for retail manager or similar occupation as it is absolutely wast of money and time.
here is my detail
retail manager
applied both nomi and visa on 3/6/2016
Low risk country
direct entry
But I am not going to stop I will fight to the end!!!
This is really sad. I dnt knw what tne immi dept is upto. Can u pls tell me which state n did they ask for any further docs?

My occupation is legittimate 100% and the case officer based his opinions on wrong assumptions rather real facts. They did not ask for clarifications and my agent did not have the chance to provide any further information. The document checklist was so thorough that I don’t even know why they trying to find excuses to refuse the nomination. In no documents there is mentioned that the owner works within the business; as matter of fact he runs a completly different business himself and the coffee shop that I run is only an investment.
Now the next step is the appeal. I just hope it won’t take ages...
Thts strange. R u working with the bussiness?

Apply AAT for nomination first n your medicare will stay. Thn for your visa u can wait foe it to refuse n thn apply AAT for tht or withdraw it (whatever is best in your circunstances).
Once u have applied for your AAT you can use medicare till the decision
