Can anybody shed any light on whether Australia has put a temporary ban on new immigrants from UK due to covid?

Ate borders closed indefinitely? I don't know where to find out whether me and my family can continue our plans to emigrate to Australia from the UK at the start of 2022. We already have our 189 visa granted in 2019, but due to covid last year we postponed our emigration. 

We want to get back on track but not sure if there are still restrictions and the immigration website doesn't really provide any clarity.

Be grateful for any advice please.

Ps. I had a new baby this year too, so I believe I need to apply for a 101 visa for my new baby to emigrate with us. Is that correct? I need advice so I can work out a timeline for our m8vd.

Hi, my family (partner and 2 kids) already have our 189 visa to emigrate to australia from the UK. These were granted Nov 2019. We had intended to emigrate last year (2020) but due to covid we postponed our plans to this year (2021). 

However, I got pregnant and had my 3rd child in the UK in May 2021. We are now planning to emigrate to Oz at the start of 2022, however I now need a visa for my baby.

Please can someone confirm that the 101 visa is the correct visa I need to apply for? Am I eligible to act as my baby's sponsor for the 101 visa even though we haven't yet moved to Oz, we are still in the UK?

Also, if the 101 visa is the correct one, and both me and my partner (he's the father if all 3 of our kids) are emigrating to Oz with our other 2 kids, do we still need to fill out the 1229 form as part of the 101 visa application for our new baby?

The guidance says we need to fill out paper form and post it to Australia, is that correct?

I would be grateful for anybody who has recent similar experience to reassure me I am on the tight lines. We are hoping that the covid situation will improve so that our plans yo emigrate in wacky 2022 can go ahead without further delay.

Thanks for your reply, yes we activated our visas last year, but I wasn't sure whether there was still a block on entering Australia due to corona virus.

My family and I were granted our visas (189 for me) almost 2 years ago, and we had planned on emigrating at the start of 2021 from the UK to Australia. However, due to Corona Virus and travel restrictions in place does anybody know if you can still travel to Australia or must you have an exemption to be able to enter? I am trying to work out our timeline for moving and could push back the move till Summer 2021, however, I am still uncertain whether we would be allowed in unless I can secure a Travel Exemption. My working visa is based on me working as a Civil Engineer. 

I have researched the immigration website and can't find any clear answers or contact details so that I can ask the question. Furthermore, we need to have moved to Australia by October 2021 so that we can ensure we have lived in Australia for 2 out of the 5 years the visa is valid so we can more easily apply for a resident return visa after that date, hence why I am concerned about how our planned move to Australia will go now.

I'd be grateful for any advice if anybody else is in a similar position and has found the answers I was unable to.
