Your MA is right if you were granted a DE 186 visa. Opposite to the 457 transition to PR you have to work at least 2 years with your sponsoring employer AFTER your PR was granted on a DE. However, my MA also told me that DIBP has no resources allocated to follow up and cancel PR visa if you decide to leave your employer as it is common practice but it's legally not correct and yes it might affect your citizenship application.
I haven't seen such employer restriction to work for 2 years after PR is granted anywhere on the DIBP website stating PR visa will be cancelled.

I believe it's the fact you are in offshore else SE has been in the good list for them

186 Offshore, Software Engineer. Is your nomination approved or both not yet?

That's the difference between onshore and offshore. Onshore same occupation getting processed in5 months

I think they have 2 set of occupation list. One for fast processing and second list of those occupations which needs to wait longer.

Please update the response from that email Manish?

Lol, come back to me with that comment if you end up waiting over 11 months!! You have no idea how stressful the entire process is and especially when were almost a full year waiting.
Everyone has their own reasons to be worried and or complain, we may not give the full details as to why because its private. Having freedom and options is what we desire most. Some people have been told the business may sell (voiding their visa application), some have been told they may be made redundant (voiding their visa application) and some people simply wish to move on because of bad employers and being used and abused by the employers because they know they have us by the balls.......there are many reasons for the rush and impatience. We should be supporting each other and not judging or making assumptions on our worries. Try on our shoes! I hope you don’t end up in our situation. Good luck with your application. We're all here to help so if you need some advice in the future let us know.
Completely agreed and very well explained.

Congratulations and all the best for visa! Could u pls share ur occupation and tr or de?

Just wondering if organization/sponsor matters here on prioritizations? Is the company is large organization for that guy or how about your company?
-
It seems they have some priortised set of occupation list which they are focusing to finalise within six months. Recently in the sheet they have finalized software engineer in 4.8 months but there are many waiting since 2016.

Which occupation you are into?
-
It seems processing time has came down to 6 months so hoping good news for all of us

Well it depends.
Could be 4 months, could 14 months...
Sent using Poms in Oz mobile appI believe it depends on number of factors such as occupation code, location, complete application at the time of lodgement etc. As per the sheet in this forum, ppl from IT, external auditor etc. got nomination approved in 4-5 months. Fingers crossed ?
