  1. Today i got bored and started to use the numbers from here to make some % (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/f...t-released.PDF) I have added each country into brackets. 100-250 days 251-350 days 351-450 days 451-600 days 600days+ After adding each one I added how many 801s they accepted. I then worked out what %chance each of us had of being in that bracket (I have uploaded my worksheet, black is amount of days it took each city, red is the amount of accepted visas) Here are your chances. 100-250 days - 5.3% 251-350 days - 7% 351-450 days - 54% 451-600 days - 33% 600+ days 1.2% Please note that these % do not take into account whether someone front loaded their applications, so while Brisbane dealt with 16,622 applications in an average of 482 days i imagine it would be lower if everyone supplied everything and doesnt take into account rejected applications. How long did your 820/801 take? and which country granted it? My 820 took 10.5 months from Vietnam. Which is on point to the link. If you take into account the 75% within 11 months and 90% within 15 months, that means some people are getting refused and upping the times dramatically.
  2. Hey I am applying for my 801 visa this week. Here is a list of evidence i am submitting, do you think this is enough? 4 888s 1 form 80 2 stat decs one from me and one from my partner 1 year of joint bank statements over 20 conversations with friends and family speaking about eachother facebook posts together (over 30) photos together (around 10) xmas cards addressed to both of us. tenancy agreement receipts about moving to Cairns from the gold coast holiday receipts including flights, accom, car hire and day trips with both our names at least 3 supporting letters from friends and family a list of all activities we have done since 820 was granted with pictures, facebook posts and receipts attached. a police certificate (when it arrives this week i will apply) Does this sound like enough? Anything else i can add? Thank you
  3. I believe you are correct, that a conviction is only if you have been to court, I have never been to a court so ... Im just a little worried because a police check warning will show up as either a live trance or no current live trace which my case officer could think is anything.
  4. Dear Poms in Oz, Happy new year I have applied for my 820visa and the documentation has been accepted, we are just waiting for my police check now from England. In 2011 I wrote a letter to someone via social media which was mean (I dated someone from Iran and their parents attacked us because it wasnt *arranged* so to speak, and received a police warning. The letter was nasty, and i 100% agree that me or anyone else doing so should receive a warning. I was told by the police that in 6 years it was gone, however I came across a post about a girl (with 2 or 3 replies) saying a warning showed up on her police certificate even though it was 15 years ago. Will a warning show up? I have never been to court and answered the form 80 - do you have convictions, even spent ones as a no, now im thinking i may have filled that in wrong? Question 33 (a) Have you, or any other person included in this application, ever been convicted of, or found guilty of, ANY offences overseas or in Australia (include all traffic offences which went to court, including offences declared in your permanent residence application, and any ‘spent’ convictions) Any advice would be greatly appreciated as im stressing so hard about this, what do i do now? My migration agent will be back in just over a week but I cant wait that long to discuss this with him. Thank you so much for any help,
  5. Hello everyone I recently moved to Australia to travel before studying Nursing in England (my home country) but fell in love and married my Australian partner. I applied for the 820/801 visa in March this year and the wait has begun. I heard the processing time is 15-18 months. Assuming the visa is granted in 18 months, do i have to wait the full 24 months until the 801 is granted before i can study at local rates? (sorry i cant afford international fees!) Additionally I recently started to help my partners family run their new business, itll take a few years before we start to make money from it, I have written a note to the immi department explaining that, and how its a long term employment opportunity but I wont be making much money until the business is established, is this all I need to do? I dont want them worrying that I am not earning much currently. Any advice is appreciated ^.^ Thank you!
