Hi,
just wondering who has recently been granted an 887 either personally or as a visa agent.
and when you submitted.
just curious if they have started September 2020 batch yet?
cheers.

As far as I’m aware.. a caution is not a criminal record.
-
Hopefully this means the backlog is getting cleared as I've been waiting since September 2020.
The no flight rule on my bridging visa has meant I've missed some family members passing away and not been able to travel home.
Also cant buy a house and the market keeps going up.. had enough of it now to be honest.
sorry, fed up rant over. I know I am not the only one in this boat.

Whilst I'm currently waiting over the "usual processing times" for my 887 (submitted 30 Sept 2020)
I'm looking over things that I may of missed, the only form I don't have submitted it the 956 & 956A.... https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form-listing/forms/956.pdfNow some time ago in 2020 I asked about this and was told on the forum, since I'm not using a migration agent I don't need to fill it out.. still the case?
Cheers

I have been waiting since June 2021. Frustrating! It's the only skilled visa (I think) that is taking this amount of time.
Apparently they are going to clear the backlog by the end of the year. I can't see that happening....
its pathetic really. And I know that they will want an updated police check as mine will be 2 years out of date.. but if I did another now and its 1,2 or 3 months old by the time they finally get around to it, they will still ask for a new anyway one so might as well wait for the request.

has anybody here been processed from the September 2020 batch yet?
I'm currently just over the 90% processed time and easing into the "Outside standard processing timeframe"
just curious as it feels like a bit of a joke at this point waiting over two years.. it feels like they've been "We are currently assessing applications submitted before September 2020" for a long long time...

June 2021 - Exactly 11 months.
Oooh in for a wait then.
will be worth it when it arrives. All my family are permanent residents so just looking to be able to stay with them all.

I sent mine in Sept 30 2020.

I am sorry to say - the processing times have changed.
- 25% of applications: 18 months
- 50% of applications: 19 months
- 75% of applications: 21 months
- 90% of applications: 25 months
No obligation to work in same profession you migrated on. I know a few 887 holders who didn't You will be fine.
They changed again! I feel like each few weeks they keep going up! They’ve been assessing visas submitted before September 2020 for what feels like a year now
thanks for the info on the job front. It’s definitely a opportunity I can’t miss.

Hey there.
I’ve been on my 489 for nearly 4 years and I’ve been working in a job that my skill is based on.
I have a visa in for an 887 and should hear something in the next 4 months (according to their 22 month wait times)
now I’ve just been offered a job that isn’t in my skill but it’s a great opportunity and it’s within state government.
now I know that I never had to have a job in the skill as I can’t find any wording in my visa that required it and to verify for the 887 I only had to be fully employed for 2 years in the 4 years visa as well as other criteria .. (I’ve been employed since day one to now so nearly 4 years)
so my question is if I take this job and change job skills could it have a negative effect on my 887?
im close to the end but also can’t give up this opportunity
cheers.

We did apply for the 887 before the 489 expired, but as we were off-shore when it expired, we are now visa-less and can't get back until we are granted an 887.
makes sense as I'm "onshore" and was granted a bridging visa pretty much straight away that comes into effect if the waiting period extends and my 489 runs out.

Hi all
I applied for my PR 12 months ago, and every time I log into my IMMI account to check if anything has changed the processing times keep shifting and is now 15-16 months..
has anyone recently been granted their PR and how long was the process time for you.
thanks
* I know Covid is playing its role.

Did you accidentally tick a box somewhere about third party involvement?
this is the section from the application - so from what I can see I said No to assistance. unless I've made a mistake somewhere.

According to this page you need "Functional English" for the 887 visa.
https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-887#Eligibility
That link takes you to this page:
So for the request of language evidence I would upload a copy of her UK passport.
thanks for that link, that makes sense now

Hi all
I have attached all the required documents to my 887 application but there are a few that don't make sense or don't seem to be connect to us as applicants
* I am filing the application myself and not using an agent as I did for my skilled 489. *
But it is asking for -
- Form 956 - Advice by a registered migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance
- Form 956a - Appointment or withdrawal of an authorised recipient.
I've read the details on the forms and I'm confused as to who it relates to or who if anyone I need to appoint as migration advisor?
also its asking my wife for -
- Custody, evidence of
- Language, ability evidence of
we have no children and had non listed on our application so cant provide a "custody form" and we scored enough points on our 489 skilled to not need the English test and our passport (UK passport) counted towards some of it (cant remember the point allocation now) so why just her for this document and why does she need it for the 887 and not 489?
I have seen and been told that migration often request documents that aren't related and to ignore them, but I just need to check before I commit to that stance.
thanks for all the help.

Are you sure? The UK was never part of the Schengen area so you should have used a passport to leave the UK.
To help map my trips I searched my emails for booking confirmations
Sorry was mainly thinking Northern Ireland and you don’t need a passport for that.
such a pain that my passport was not stamped for some of the trips

I would fill it to the best of my knowledge
Yeah I guess when you sign it your are saying that “it is the the best of my knowledge”
im not even sure how they check it as there would be no records on my passport of a EU trip I would of used a driver licence.
also asks for details of previous passports but they have been destroyed on receiving a new one?

Digital holiday pics will have timestamps. Emails of bookings/bank statements/social media posts.
I can find photos but on some of the trips I didn’t plan or pay for them. As it was a work trip of a past employer that no longer operates.. so won’t know the exact entry and departure.
-
Hi, currently filling out my F80 for my perm res app.
in relation to the travel history. In the UK when it was in the EU you didn’t need to use a passport. So I don’t have any history in my passport of those trips. Also don’t have any written down anywhere.. 10 years ago I didn’t have this plan so recording things like that wasn’t on my mind. I I’ve all the major international trips ok.
what if I can’t remember all the trips?
cheers

So nobody in this group has recently received an 887 Visa or has worked with a client who has been granted one?
A little worrying.
still listed as assessing visas submitted before September 2020. (Been like that for over a year)
