Hi all,
I am in the early stages of looking to migrate to Australia and have a couple of questions.
1) I am in the final stages of an interview with a prospective employer who are looking to sponsor me. Because they require an early start date and the time it takes to process a sponsored visa is too long, is it possible for me to move over with a working holiday visa and then apply for the sponsored visa (457) once I'm in Australia?
2) There is a question for the 417 visa that asks whether I have outstayed a visa before. 6 years ago I out stayed my tourist entry visa in Thailand by 2 days. This was a complete accident and oversight (I was young and naive). I'm really worried this is going to affect my application and that it will possibly be rejected. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this or knows anyone that has? Really worried this will hold up my application.
