  1. I’d asked my RMA this when we were applying as I’d kept lots of entrance tickets and gig tickets. We submitted a few scans of gig tickets which corresponded with photos of us and our relationship statements e.g. at a gig in Melbourne on a specific date, or a gig in Glasgow on a specific date.

Since we lodged our application, our RMA has said that we don’t need any other tickets (we’d been to a few galleries and museums but tickets didn’t have names on them). The only other joint things like that we’ve continued to upload are boarding passes for flights we’ve taken together.

Yeah, I'm thinking this might be an agent one. Any recommendations for this would be super-useful. I don't really want a full package, as the main application is already in and I'm happy to do the paperwork myself, I just really want an advice and guidance session or two (I don't have thousands to spare, so it's also a case of what I can afford!), if there is someone who can do that, ideally specialized in partner visas for UK/EU citizens.

    I’ve pmd you!

  3. My immigration agent told me last week that if my PMV is granted it would cancel out my current eVisitor visa (presumably upon entry so as to activate).

HibiscusDreams you sound super organised with everything! We’re due to marry in January 2019 and it’s dawned on me it’s not that far away ? Just can’t bring myself to plan til we know about PMV.

Awwe, that's horrible! Hoping that beauracracy doesn't ruin your plans....Didn't it used to be possible to convert a prospective marriage app to a partner visa if you get married before they process?

We haven't made any huge plans as we're too scared to in case we have to shift the date so apart from having our celebrant booked, we haven't dared organise anything else (I do have my dress though!). People think we're just very laid back about our wedding plans ? (many don't know about the visa application as I'm self-employed so can't risk losing business if visa doesn't go in our favour - yes, I'm a glass half full person!). But then it's just going to be the two of us for the wedding plus a couple of random witnesses so it's a bit easier to be flexible with!

We don't want to get married if we can't then immediately live together so we're hanging out for the PMV rather than change to 309.

Well, that's it! Just submitted my application - $7160 poorer and butterflies in my stomach! Wish me luck! ?

Welcome to the club!!! Try to keep going with 'normal' life in the meantime. It's a stressful ride, even with oodles of positive thinking...We've just had to accept we're going to have to do yet more commuting between UK & Oz while the wait continues. Not good for the bank balance though ?

  6. I'm heading out to visit my fiancé in Oz shortly....my RMA is updating my immi account to state when I am entering the country and when I am leaving to go back to the UK (only a 2 week trip). We had already included the ticket for this trip in our initial application.

My visitor visa then runs out 31 August and I am in limbo about what to do about visa. We were planning for me to go back out again in November after my fiancé's trip back to the UK in Sep/Oct. Advice I've been given is to book flights and then my RMA wants to advise immi that my plans are to travel back out for a trip in November. They seem to think (not sure why) that it's likely we may have heard about the PMV 300 before November so we should hang fire before I reapply for another visitor visa. However, there's then the thought of booking flights and then not having a visa to travel with. Dilemmas!

    So....the wait continues!

  7. My application went in on 18th April (including police checks and my medical). I've applied from the UK and have used an agent. It's only been just over 5 weeks but the waiting gets worse by the day! It's the not knowing one way or the other. We have a plan A which is Oz and plan B is the UK (my fiancé is also UK citizen so easier for him to move back here). Would just love to be able to plan the next step but realise it's totally out of our hands.

My fiancé has literally just landed back in Oz after being here with me in the UK for a couple of weeks so our agent has uploaded further evidence of us being together.

There doesn't seem to have been much news on any PMV 300 grants recently.

  8. Everything seems to have gone quiet on the PMV 300 front. Has anyone had theirs granted in the last couple of months (esp if via London)? It’s early days for me - everything submitted including medical and police checks so just the waiting game. Not being able to plan things is driving me crazy though ?
