Hi Guys, does anyone have any advice or know how to prove you are a GTE (genuine temporary entrant) I have been in Australia on and of for the last 3 years and have been refused a subclass 400 visa based on my previous history. I have spent 680 days on shore and 400 days off shore in the last 3 years so i can understand their doubt.

Hi, congrats on getting your 189 visa! i have 10 years experience in carpentry back home, I'm at the start of my path, could you point me in the right direction, i have no idea where to start without paying an Agent? or even if i should go and see an agent. i am also thinking of going for PR rather than skilled nomination visa. i have 6 months left on my 2nd year 417 is this enough time? thanks for any help Gareth

Hi I'm new to Poms in Oz, i am a 28 year old carpenter from England, I'm on my second year (417) and have recently decided to try and stay here permanently.
I have a full time job as a carpenter in Perth and they have offered to sponsor me. i only really have basic knowledge about visas etc and wondered if someone could point me in the right direction.
Im not sure if i should even forget the sponsorship and go straight for PR, depending on cost of course.
any help or advice would be much appreciated!
