I know... I have followed you too due to same profession.. No Offence to others but still... :)

Haaaah...I will have  a good dinner tonight, I was too stressed as there was an issue with the training amount we paid to some institue (genuine THough) but then we had to get that refunded and then pay to the TAFE , I didnt tell this before.. My company didnt know all this and the  importance of paying to tafe or any institute.

I would say only one thing..IF you have all genuine documents and background profession  then they would consider applications.

Yep totally understand, I have all the documents necessary but as you know the wait is painful and causes a lot of anxiety in life. You go and enjoy your dinner and have a wine for me ;)

I still believe Mar 2017 is a typo.....they don’t even realize now it’s Mar 2018 already.....it’s insane. BTW, I am same occupation as you, applied May 1st, no update yet.

Do you think it is a typo? I know im not waiting as long as some but still feeling very left behind. It seems Project Administrators are not a big priority :( Good to have someone with same occupation and month to chat to!

  4. This just shows how messed up they are. @Parkesy in your post yesterday you got an automated email saying they were processing June 2016 - March 2017 but I emailed them a month ago and got the response below stating April 2016 - October 2017. So they seem to have gone backwards or are full of BS. I know which one im betting on...

Finally it arrived today we can celebrate our PR

I whish you all the best it’s been a long journey to get where we are today only people in this tread can understand

I hope you all getting it soon we all deserve it from 457 to PR.

    Good luke you all.

Congrats! Can i ask your timeline and occupation?

  7. I will do one once I get to 12 months. Not sure if this will help any of us to be honest Don't know why they don't just update the way they show their processing times to make it  a more realistic representation of the wait everyone will have to endure instead of being so vague with the whole 10% of applications with no time limit BS.

Thanks for that, did you get any auto-response email immediately after you sent the email?

because I sent an email last week and got the auto-response email immediately, I am wondering if they are going to reply me again or not.

Hi, I got the immediate auto usual auto response too and wasn't expecting a personal reply but i did today!

Some good news! My MA emailed me yesterday to say that Immigration have opened my file and now want a new Police check as the other has expired! I'm not even mad about having to do another Police Check, just to know they have actually opened my file is good enough for now. I have just sent off for the Police Check and its usually a pretty fast process, so fingers crossed I am almost there! Good luck to all.

Amazing news, fingers crossed its fast for you :)

I think the calculation of waiting times are pretty straightforward to understand. As stated, it’s timelines across the visa type in brackets of 75% complete and 90% complete, with that extra 10% allowing room for (potentially extreme) outliers. It’s more a question of what is the strategy as far as I’m concerned.

Based on what is published regarding the post-April influx, i think it's likely a case of keeping those 75/90% brackets looking respectable. Presumably that’s what is audited.

If the whole workforce had stopped to purely focus on the 16k applications from June, just imagine what impact that would have had on those 75/90% timeline brackets. It’s utterly unfair, and a huge stress and uncertainty for those in that pack I’m sure, but there is some sort of skewed logic to why DIBP would need to do it.

No one said it was difficult to understand, they are making it pretty clear that they have started to process more recent applications in order to keep their processing times down. Its just extremely frustrating for those who have been waiting for a long time to get on with their lives and are being made to wait up to two years for their applicartion to even be picked up.

Haha. Makes me laugh because its all so tragic. Im in 8.5 months roughly and haze zero faith or getting it before 12 months. When I saw they were processing a few earlier ones over the last few days on the spreadsheet I foolishly had a glimmer of hope...until I saw your comment! There is no logic!

Oh no sorry to ruin your hope.  I cant believe how stupid and naive i was at the start of all this thinking it would be a breeze and for some reason my application wouldn't take long haha but now I think 2 years seems to be a more realistic goal. I can see a lot of people in my occupation on the spreadsheet are waiting for such a long time so I've accepted my fate.

Great thank you for that. What the hell is going on in that office! Love to know the formula for calculating times. Surely there is someone on this forum is actively working in DIBP....

And yes i agree! What a load of codswallop

I was kind of chilled because im just about to reach the 10 months mark but now its gone down to 9 months, that makes me in that weird 10% where they cant tell you anything and you can end up waiting another month or another year it seems...?

  13. They just updated the processing times on the website - Obviously processing recent applications to look better on their processing times. Good one immigration :(

So I've been requested more documents for our visa application today. "Evidence of Registration/Licensing". However, the nominated occupation does not require licensing or registration to work. Any idea how to provide evidence that I do not need to hold registration or a licence to work in the nominated occupation?? I can't think on what to provide as an evidence.

Hi Jonny, I was under the impression that to legally run as a business you have to be registered. ABN certificate and business registration certificate?
