    Hi all,

Silent watcher of this forum since September. I'm happy to say my PR was approved today! Yay!

Visa type: 186 ENS Direct Onshore
    Country risk: Low
Occupation: Public Relations Professional (STSOL Level 1)
    Nomination lodged: 29/09/18
    Visa lodged: 29/09/18

    Additional documents requested: 01/02/18
They wanted more information from my org stating the need for my role. This was done in the form of a letter and we also included the org chart that showed I report directly to the CEO.

    Nomination approved: 02/03/18
    Visa approved: 02/03/18

I assume my visa was approved so quickly after my nomination because I had everything completed (medicals, police checks etc.) and attached with my visa application in September. I'm a bit in shock but very happy this is all finished.

I will say after reading the forums for the last couple months that no application is the same and immigration is unpredictable in how they assess and process applications. I know we are all here so support each other but I felt (my opinion) comparing each others applications wasn't always helpful.

Anyway! Best wishes to all who are waiting. I really pray that there's a big move of applications this month.

congrats!!! did you apply 2016 or 2017?

It looks like they have asked for training benchmarks, and I think they just need everything counter signing. So fingers crossed they look again in 28 days and we have submitted all the correct docs.

Oh and btw, I'm ENS transition so the wait period is 8 - 9 months. Although it's not a competition. I'm happy for anyone that gets some good news on here. It just means that the department is doing their job. The people who get visas granted within a few months all seem to have very good skilled jobs. Yes I know it's frustrating but that's just how it is.

Did they want updated training benchmark info or info that hadnt been provided initially?

My application is on the STSOL and nomination was approved on the 7th Feb (Retail Buyer) for Direct Entry.       I was asked to take the medical on the 7th Feb, which I did on the 14th Feb and results were uploaded on the 15th Feb.     Now just waiting for them to go back into my application...........

    Awesome! when did you apply?

I have been waiting almost 12 months though!!

Yeah I am just stating a point. All I have seen is those who have applied with MLTSSL being looked at recently. I haven't heard of a STSOL application being looked into recently. Makes sense though I guess given that MLTSSL are where they want to fill the gaps so they take priority. 12 is still within the 10 - 15 current processing time so you are all good. What further information have they asked for?

Hi all. I checked my Immi account about 1 hour ago and still no change (I can see both nomination and application on my account) so I decided to give the department a call. After submitting my application details to the lady, she came back and said that my file had been allocated to a team and are waiting for extra documents from my manager.

I logged back into my account and now the nomination status has changed to "information requested"?? Very strange but at this stage I'm just chuffed to bits that my case is now open!!

Not sure what documents they have asked for as yet.

Awesome! Another MLTSSL application. Sadly no STSOL applications being looked

but the MLTSSL applications might not been genuine as well :) Else, I hope they will process our applications much faster from the 1st of March.

    Finger Crossed :)

true but probably a lot less applications post April 2017 announcement as MLTSSL still has routes to PR after March 1st whereas STSOL you lose if you snooze hence the rush to get applying which is probably why there may be a lot of dud applications to sift through.

Thanks Jimmy for this post- But question still remains , What exactly they mean by fraudulent applications? I mean I dont care about those fraudulent applications but we are following the process of 2years 457 and then TRT why they came up with this?

I mentioned before about my friend getting her application appointed after 4 months (applied Nov 2017) and here being on the MLTSSL, whereas I have been waiting since June 17 (marketing specialist STSOL). I am just guessing but I would say that prior to March 1st they have reclassified most of the STSOL applications as high risk in order for new measurements after the 1st March to reclassify each application according to any new the formula they have created which brings in the AFP and ATO partners etc. So be it TRT or DIRECT they need to look and validate the genuineness of all existing STSOL 186 applications using their new method post April 2017 announcement.

I think after March things might move a lot quicker (fingers crossed) but don't listen to me I talk out my bum

It’s TRT mate. It’s all information after lodgement for bas  up to December 2017 and training. More work for the finance team.

was the BAS and training submitted initially with your employer nomination and they asking for an updated version because your waiting time has been nearly a year. Or, was the BAS and training not submitted initially and they are asking for it as it was just missed off? Thats what I am trying to establish, whether your application needs updated information due to the extended amount of time you have been waiting or if it just wasn't provided when you employer did the nomination.

It looks like what the MA's were saying about the conference was correct.

I got my MA to call and a case officer called him the next day asking for a lot of details/information because my file is around 11 months old.

My MA advised that the case officers request would only be over the phone and it wouldn't be put on my online file.

She also advised that we have 7 days to provide the information.

They want everything from figures, BAS, training for the last 4 years , proof of work for the year before I applied. I'm not sure if calling has annoyed them and they want to be more thorough than normal.

Hopefully it will be sorted soon.

    Cheers

Had the BAS and training figures been provided on your application in the first instance? or were they asking for updated BAS and training during that 11 month time period?

I called them a few minutes ago and they asked for my application number. Told me that not yet allocated. They also suggested that, after you lodge your application an automated email is sent which tells you what months are currently processing. I applied via MA so dont know that.

People willing to know what number to call for application status can check that in document you received after lodgement.

Sadly you are going to be waiting a while. If you only applied two months ago you've got at least another 8 to wait unless you job is a priority skill shortage

i followed up with my ma agent today to ask if i should get a new medical check bearing in mind it ran out at end of Jan and she said not to worry as it is to the case officers discretions.

I also wanted to follow up about the information we submitted on tuesday (the third lot of info regarding nom submitted since oct last year) she said they have asked for it to be finalised as soon as possible.

I want to call the processing team again, as sometimes you can get someone really lovely and helpful on the phone and they tell you more info, however i called them last friday.

My application has been in 11.5 months now.

i really just hope that the new information submitted does not go into the 28 day due, i really find that process so frustrating.

Has anyone had different experiences ringing the processing team?

i also just linked my application to my immi account, the ma told me that they had it linked to their account as they are handling the nomination for the sponsor also. the application now linked is just showing as received, which seems strange as i know they are processing, reviewing documents.

i know the department is short staffed and are having to deal with a huge workload, however with the cost of each visa being around the 4k mark, surely they can afford to hire more people. to be honest i would happily pay an extra 1k to department and have the application fee increased to $5k if it meant the processing times were not so long

My friend who was asked for their AFP police checks by a case officer got a response back from them with a query about her submissions the same day she submitted her police certificates. So the 28 day thing...is that real or a myth as clearly not the case for my friend.
