I m same as you applied march 2016 . Further documents requested April 2017 . 457 visa has been finished 2 months before. Well you are not alone mate. ???

Hi everyone,

 i have one question that my 457 visa has been expired on 13 August and now i m on bridging visa . I have applied for 186 trt on march 2016 but nothing comes yet.  So do i need to continue work with my employer or can I wait until decision is finalised?Because I finished my contract for 457 or can i work like part time ! It's really confusing. Is there anyone who can help me with this?

Hi mate congrats. I had a same situation like you when I applied 186 my wife was pregnant about 20 weeks and i gone through medical and i had X-rays done but on that time i was worried about my baby same as you but when i went there they fitted the shield to cover belly. The X-rays just for chest so don't worry about that. I have my baby and she is absolutely normal. They do care very well about X-rays. But if you not go through medical examinations then your file process  will stops until your wife give birth.then you can go through. But it takes too much time to wait until baby born. So as per my experience I would suggest just go through x-rays and medical so it won't affect your file process time.

Hi mate i m on a same boat as you. Immigration asked for further documents in April 28 as I applied for 186 on march 2016 . But still nothing comes up yet it's really frustrating. Sometimes it's depends on luck.

Hi i had a same situation like i m on 457 visa and i applied 186 on march and I had a baby in September than I asked my MA agent about to add her name in to visa and 186 application and she told me the expenses around $1600 but after I called immigration and they told me if i add her name before finishing 6month after born there is no charge if newborn born in Australia after I submitted everything and added her name in visa and new application with cost of $0.00.so you should ask your MA about receipt if she paid to immigration. Immigration is very helpful but Sometimes MA they charge us just for nothing. 

hi shanthsuren, i gone through the same situation that i have applied 186 on march 2016 and i have newborn baby on September. After I called my MA and she gave expenses around $1600 including visa fees for 457 and 186 visa applications but after I called to the immigration and they told me that if I include her name to my application before finishing her 6monnths it's free because she born in Australia. After that i got HAPID for medical but immigration told me to get letter from local GP so they can send it to bupa and yeh everything was ok and my daughter was added to application without $0.00 cost. So try to contact immigration because they are very helpful and MA they charge sometimes just for nothing. 

I have applied on 11 January 2016. I m calling immigration from December but everytime i m getting same answer that " the procedure is slow but hopefully you will get it very soon " . But hope is not came yet.. it's really frustrating. 

I m same as you mate it's been 1 year 3 months still no news. I don't understand what's going on? It's very hard time i can understand your situation

That's true mate .i have been calling them from December and they said very soon.It's totally unfair that the one who is waiting is waiting from 1year and some people they are getting in 3 to 6 months they suppose to maintain there timelines. 

Well I called to immigration twice a month from last 3 months but they are giving me same answer like they are processing still February last year so hopefully yours is very soon . Every time they are giving same answers. It's really frustrating. 

Hi Guys, i m regularly checking your discussion on this forum. I have applied 186 on 11/03/2016 both nomination and visa but still no news. It's really very tough time my friend he applied after me in june 2016 he got his PR but mine is still nothing. I don't understand how the immigration works!!!
