Hi Guys, I just need confirmation. I have been granted 187 visa in May 2017 through DE. But unfortunately I have been made redundant last week. Do I still need to stay and work in Regional area for 2 years or can I even go to Sydney and work there? Is Canberra coming under Regional area? Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry for bit long question. How should I leave my husband? I am a 32 yr old asian female. My parents arranged a marriage for me. I married to my husband in 2015. I liked him when I talk to him for the first time. We moved to Australia in mid-2016. I had a beautiful baby boy end of that year. Actually we moved to Australia on my visa. Recently got PR through my employment. My husband was a medical doctor and yet to give his exams to complete registration in Australia. My husband finds it difficult to see me talking or making friends with anyone. He thinks I should be there for him and that should be my purpose of life. I am quite bubbly and friendly person, but I forgot how to make friends now. He hit me few times also. He suspects me had an affair and the baby is from some of my friends who has texted me to see how me and baby are doing? I also has to admit that while I was on Maternity leave without pay he worked so hard on casual job to provide for me and baby. I will never forget that as that was the hardest job he has ever done in his life. He does the weekly shopping. He thinks providing me financially should be enough to make me happy. After he suspects me with my male friend texting me or talk to me. Even he pick up fight while listening to me talking to my parents or siblings. He says that I am not pretty enough, yes I have put on weight after baby. I have decided to leave him. But I wanted to tell him nicely and leave him without any drama. As he has past history of depression when he left his ex-girlfriend due to family issue, I do not want to make him suffer. He wanted to do paternal test and I order home DNA test kit but he refused to do it now. He has male ego. I told him politely one day that as it is not working for us, we should go part. He got angry and he hit me so hard on face and said that he will damage my face and kill the baby and so I will be suffered my entire life and asking I should behave like an Asian girl not to leave husband. As he was in anger, I asked him to forgive to calm him down. I should have called the police, but I don’t want his mother to suffer. He blames me or someone else for his actions all the time. He loves the baby. His mother is here to look after the baby while I am at work. His parents support his actions and say I have to change in order to keep him and family happy. They have no worries about me and my happiness. I want to leave him smoothly or make him leave me to satisfy his male ego. I don’t mind either way. If I make police complaint, he will never be able to practice medicine in Australia? Is that true? I do not want to ruin his life and career. Please give me your suggestions of how to make him leave me? It is not so easy for me to call the cops and make drama and ruin his life with domestic violence order. If he can’t find his career here, that will give me guilt forever. If I even call the cops, should I not give complaint and just leave from him? Is that possible? I have a permanent job so I should be able to look after the baby without any problems. I also want to start up a business, which he will never allow me to do if I am with him. Give me your suggestion of what to do to make him leave me? Thanks

Hi Guys, I received PR today. So happy 187 DE HR 3people Visa & nom - 21/09/2016 Nom granted - 30/03/2017 Add doc request - My son medical, AFP PCC Doc submitted - 26/04/2017 I sent email to immi two days ago to process my application and also I have just updated my postal address in immi account as I heard they usually go amend any changes if we make online. When they go to make amedment, if everything was okay, they probably grant PR. It worked for me. I think thats what they did and received my PR today. All the best for whoever waiting for PR. Hi Dale, Thanks for your reply. I didn't pay anything to my MA for adding to 457 visa. So it is definitely a bit of save. Thank God. Thanks for your reply. I hope you got your visa now. I have just started my work, I am eagerly waiting for PR to send my son to childcare. Can I state this as a reason and request to process my application quicker. Kind Regards Shanthsuren

Hi Guys, I have applied for nom & visa on 21 Sep 2016 with my husband. My son born on November added to the application later. Nomination granted on 30 Mar 2017. More doc requested our AFP certificate ( Though we are here about 10 months at the time) and son's medicals. All submitted on 26th April. Just tried calling IMMI today, but they said to contact through MA. My son was granted bridging visa on 4th April 2017. But IMMI still didn't take his application fees from our bank account. We paid our's through MA. So I don't know when they will take application fees? Has anybody gone through same situation?

Sorry Dara, I meant unpaid maternity leave. I don't think we will get any pay from Centrelink. It's going to be unpaid. I just got an email from HR that they will pay me 2 weeks at national minimum wage to help me out. That's all I get. May be talk to your HR if they can do you any favour. All the best for your new adventure.

I don't think so. As I am on 457 visa, I am eligible to get 1 year unpaid maternity pay. As far as I researched we should not have any problem with our application.

Hi Dara, I am also in the same situation. I applied for RSMS visa on 21st Sep. Will be going on maternity from 4th November. My HR said that I can take up to 1 year unpaid maternity leave on my 457 visa. My work place have no obligation for me to go on unpaid maternity upto 1 year. But I am hoping to go back to work in May, as I can't afford to stay without income. My MA said that when the baby is born, we just need to add the baby to the application. If I get my PR by April, I may opt for part time. Hope for the best.

Thanks for your reply. No. He doesn't have reciprocal medicare card. I heard people can apply for temporary medicare card if they have acknowledgement letter for PR application. Is that true? Regards

Hi Guys, I have applied for 187 visa today for me and my husband. I already have reciprocal medicare card. Can my husband apply for temporary medicare card so we can stop private medical insurance and save a bit of money. What are the documents do we need to get temporary medicare card? We have 457 visa until May 2020.I hope we will not have any problem travelling out of country. Regards
