I haven’t paid any oz charges on my transfer last week into commonwealth bank acc that I set up ready for my arrival I transferred through world First acc as their rate was a little more think oz tax forms are submitted each year through an accountant after you’ve been there a year & banks have a legal requirement to notify taxes of large sums over 10,000- ? Having problems shipping clothing & personal items as my visa is a tourist visa and moving onto bridging visa till my contributory parent visa is granted- the shipping company say I will be classed as visitor at the moment and everything will be subject to import tax and duties Any recommendations for cheap companies to send parcels Has anyone used parcel monkey ? Thanks for that - but do you still have to pay the uk tax if you have it paid in the uk acc and then have to pay the oz Gov as well ?

I'm waiting for my contributory aged parents visa to get processed in the next year and will be on a bridging visa until then - should I contact my state and works pensions which I'm receiving now to inform them to transfer into an Australian bank account or wait till it my visa is granted .
