So... My case officer rang me today at lunch, and asked if I wanted it granted now or do I want to wait.. he litterally asked that lol.. So yeah Granted! Over the moon and relieved is an understatement
Oh wow! That's fantastic news! Huge congrats. I can't believe that your CO rang to ask you - that's got to be a first?!

Thank you all, I really appreciate it. Everything I'd read was from people saying things like "I included something from every month we have been together" which just made me boggle! I've told himself I'm tempted to put our children in an envelope and call that our evidence!
Thanks again, I'm hoping a big push this weekend will mean I can submit next week.
@TinaK - how did you present the Facebook download? I'm sure other people have done that but I can't remember seeing it described before.
I downloaded our relationship history into a PDF and then uploaded it as one document - it was 82 pages long! I decided to include that as I felt I was light on evidence under the social evidence category (only really had the statements from friends and a couple of invites) and didn't want to have to plough through my photo stash. The Facebook history covered all our major relationship milestones, so it felt like it killed quite a few birds with one stone!
I definitely didn't include evidence from every month, just a couple from the start of our relationship, some from middle and then recent examples. Felt that should cover it off.
Good luck with the rest of the evidence gathering, sounds like you're almost there!

I thought we had missed the boat on this month's grants as I got the impression they were pretty much sent in the first week, but we got the call!! PMV granted after 3 months! Not long for people still waiting I'd think
I'll take a few days to let it sink in as I'm still shell shocked, and then start thinking move, wedding, and 820. But all good and exciting!
Great news! Congrats! ?

My husband and I have been together 9 years and I've recently had my partner visa (100) granted - I took the approach of including some items from various points during that 9 years. So before we bought our house, we rented a property together so I dug out some old bills and a lease which I'd hung onto for some reason. I also uploaded some old bank statements from different points and anything else that I could dig out which I thought might be useful. I didn't add any photos aside from those that were on a download of our Facebook relationship history as that went back the whole 9 years and covered off engagement, wedding, birth of kids and us attending joint social engagements etc.

I haven't really posted on here recently and of course as it happens there are a whole host of names that I don't recognize.
Just an update on my circumstance I entered Australia yesterday and activated my Spouse (100) visa so after 7 months apart our family is back together.
Great news, really pleased for you! I think you were in the latter stages of your application when I joined this thread, so great to hear that it has all come together for you now. Good luck with the new chapter!

Congrats Tina and Beffers! I've been popping back in every now and then to see how everyone was getting on.
We are currently in Antigua to celebrate my hubby's 40th. Our stuff got shipped the day before we left and we fly out to Melbourne on the 29th of May. We've got an airbnb booked for a month while we look for rental accommodation and I start my new job on June 5, so it's all coming together well I think. Just need to sell the cars.
Good luck to everyone on settling into Australia and starting an exciting new adventure.
xxx
Thanks Jen! Wow, sounds like a great way to celebrate. I turn 40 3 days before we fly out to Melbourne but I'm not doing anything nearly so exotic, in fact I'm likely to waving off the container on my actual birthday!! Hubby has promised to take me to the whitsundays once we're settled to make up for it ?
Good luck for the move and with the new job too. All of us that are heading to Melbourne should do a meet up once we're there!

Hi there. Are you applying offshore? There is another thread which has a lot of info on it from people who have applied for partner visas offshore. Most people have their stats in their signatures so you can see how other people's applications are tracking. I can't remember the thread name but it starts 'Summary...and says add your stats'.
There are are a few of us on that thread with a similar timeline to yours by the looks of it, all applied Jan/Feb and have had contact from COs to request further info and/or medical and police checks etc.
The name on the email you've received will be the name of the case officer managing your application. I've had a couple of emails from mine now and it's the same name each time.
Good of luck with your application, keep us posted on how it goes!

Another update from me - submitted all the police checks today and my medical was approved overnight so I hit the 'information requested' button this afternoon. Now the wait starts again....
@Beffers - how funny that we both did it almost on the same day!! They'd better grant us at the same time ?

Quick update from me - did my medical today & my UK police checks and hubby's AFP checks both also arrived today. Just his UK ones to arrive now and medical results to be processed and I can hit the button! Hoping I can do that mid next week.

OMG! I just got a call from the High Commission, they asked me to upload my British Citizenship certificate and then assured me they would issue my husband's 309 and 100 this afternoon! Check out my dates! This is super quick!
We are ecstatic!
Excellent news!! When did you apply??
-
I've just heard from my CO too, requesting my medical and police checks and have 28 days to submit.... Looks like they are back focusing on the partner visas!!

It's almost like they do it in phases, there is a burst of activity where they seem to speak to everyone regardless of when they applied and then nothing for ages...so frustrating!

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered on here but I can't find it when I've searched - my husband is my sponsor, will he be required to do an Aussie police check even though he's not lived there for 14 years? Do you have to give address details or do they search for you via tax file number or something else??

Whoops, I rechecked emails and found I had a second email granting the 100 after all!! So just under 2.5 months for my permanent visa grant, I'm ecstatic!!!
Wow! That's super quick! Huge congrats ?

Ah... ok. And here I was hopeful that we were going to get a super fast visa! I understood about frontloading but didn't realise that the health assessment option appeared automatically. Well, let's hope it doesn't take longer than 12 months then.
Thanks for the explanation TinaK and Lever40.
You never know, we might get lucky and hear early. Positive thinking and all that! ;-)
Would be good to hear how you go with the 600 visa as I think I'm going to end up having to go down the same route if my partner visa isn't looking like it's going to be granted before early July.
-
Hmm... should we have waited then? Health assessment required appeared under the Attach Documents part of the home page, so we just clicked on the link, completed the assessment and booked in for the medical.
Is that's what supposed to happen? Or does it only appear when the C/O has requested a medical?
i think that appear automatically, it shows in my account too but my C/O hasn't requested it yet. They have been in contact for other details but haven't advised to book my medical. That said, if I don't hear in the next couple of weeks I'm going to book mine anyway as we need to be in Australia by mid July for my husband to start his new job. Others on this forum front loaded their applications with all information including medical sand police checks and it's been fine. The only reason they advise you to wait I believe is because they are only valid for 12 months. So if for some reason the process takes ages, you might need to have them done again. But based on current processing times based on everyone in here, I really hope it doesn't take that long for all our sakes!!

Well we have just received the golden email. My Hubby is now a permanent resident. Straight to 100. I could cry right now.
Thank you to everyone on this thread I wouldn't have got through the last 5 months without the support.
5 months exactly.
Applied 18/10/16
First contact 1/3/17
Medical and police check uploaded 14/3/17
Grant 17/3/17
Must be the luck of the Irish
Happy St Patricks day.
