I just need to ask about PCC as i hv seen my wife Pcc in which its written that validation is for only 90 days. I am wondering everyone talking in forum about 1year PCC expiry date, Could someone explain it?

Hi Jawad my wife's PCC was issued from KHI for 6 months - Usually PCC is valid for 1 yr (although it says 6 months) - However at the time of grant PCC was way over 13 months period but IMMi did not asked for a new one - Moreover my wife's first entry is not equivalent to PCC or either medical date - I guess it is a sheer coincidence and every case is treated on individual circumstances- Best of luck

Mate I feel bad for you, hopefully IA soon mate, all I can think is because they asked for additional paperwork thats delayed the process, same thing happened to me they asked me to upload form 888's in May last year when I had already uploaded them.

That's extremely ridiculous mate - just feel so helpless at this stage! may Allah give us patience and help us all amen

I emailed them last week at immigration.islamabad************** and expressed my frustration that my application is over 11 months - After that they called my wife and conducted a short interview - pretty much general interview - verification questions like Names - DOBs - wedding dates - How we spent time with each other etc and then asked to submit Form40sp (I actually submitted additional documents in mid of Nov last year that's why very pissed off that why haven't they asked for this document at that time) that means they haven't checked my documents at that time and now after 2 months they realised and asked again)

Anyways my application is 11 months and 6 days now lets see how long does it take.

Quick update - after my email to AHC they contacted my wife and conducted a short second interview which went good Alhamdullilah - further they asked for a document which I provided the very next day. Lets see hopefully some good news for all of us soon IA

Any suggestions to lodge a complaint via Commonwealth Ombudsman www.ombudsman.gov.au ?

Hi Guys i got a reply from the complaint lodged. Pretty much a long email stating that my case is still in their time frame in under 12 months. They aim to complete 75% with in 12 months and there is no guarantee regarding that. All in all there is nothing i can do but wait and keep checking my email and immi account. Seemed like a pretty generic copy and paste reply. My opinion probably waste of time lodging a complaint.

Well to be honest 309 fees shouldn't be more than $3000 considering the time they have taken but I guess nothing we can do about it!

U didnt apply for visit visa? And how would I know my CO in Aus. I know my CO in islamabad.

I haven't applied for visit visa yet...my wife's application is over 11 months now...I have emailed them and waiting for their reply..

Regarding CO - when you have applied for visit visa...you will be assigned with new CO for your visit visa application - ask your CO (either from AUS or ISL) to speed up your spouse visa application...this might help you in getting your spouse visa quicker...however it is my opinion based on my friend's experience mentioned above...Good luck

my partner has reached 11 months mark almost. So Am thinking to get 3 months visit visa and in the meanwhile we get the partner visa hopefully. And for all this you have to inform your CO about vist visa and once partner visa is granted you have to leave Australia and re enter.

Yes rehan85 you are right....and I would suggest once you applied for visit visa and get in touch with your CO (in Australia) push him to coordinate with AHC ISL for your spouse visa...good luck

Just a question, anyone can answer?

Can we apply for visit visa while partner visa is in process ? But when 309 partner visa is granted, it states you have to out of Australia.

Can anyone elaborate this ?

I have a friend who applied for a visit visa while 309 was in processing....He said you need to provide sufficient evidences that your wife will return back after completing the duration of the visa...she did returned back after 1 visit...However he actually pushed the CO in AUS when he applied visit visa for the 2nd time and asked him to coordinate with AHC ISL to grant spouse visa....so he received 309 visa instead of visit visa....he applied for 309 in mid of 2015 and was able to get the grant in Jan 2016...

And yes you are right it does not matter what our DOL is...grants are based on individual circumstances!

Further we need to complaint why there are not attending calls and automated response is there? They should increase staff for this.

 

Also, I think they don't judge application by DOL as most of the guys have received visa quickly then in a queue.

I have emailed them on the standard email address they provided after the lodgement...I have not used complaints link yet...Just waiting for their reply will then decide about my next step based on their response.

Not yet mate, still waiting for just an acknowledgment that they received the complaint..did you call them/get through to them?

Mate I submitted my documents the day they requested for it...I really don't know what they are upto..extremely frustrating!!

Mate I have tried a few times (mostly out of frustration when you see people in the past with grants in less than 9 months). I'd say give them a call or email, I have heard a few people say oh don't call or email them they are busy etc etc, and I agree with that for someone who has been waiting for under 6 months but for people like us who are waiting longer than their average time I think it's only sane for us to know where abouts our application is up too. Just don't be disappointed if they give the same standard response mate and if you happen to find something new please share!

Agree this forum has been a massive help, hopefully few months we will be sitting with our partners and thinking about how much we stressed about it all lol.

Lol I agree. I was just a bit curious as I was going through some old comments where people tried asking about the file proceeded to the final decision makers. Hence I thought someone from the current lot might I have a similar experience. Hopefully the jinx is broken soon lol but they did prolonged processing times for 2016. lets see keep praying hard

Hi IQ2015, i feel your pain and even though im about a month behind you ive tried that and all they say that their processing time is 12 months. I would email anyway as i will be doing that as well at the 11th month mark.
