Applications are dealt as case to case basis, if its within 12 months time frame then no one can do any thing or complaint against AHC as its within given time frame.
I know this because I am one of those who went through lengthy departmental checks during my Residency application so chill out people.
How much we paid and how long we are waiting will not make any difference :-).
It will take as long as it take so wait and watch please.
how about if we apply for a visit visa? And what are the chances of approval?
-
as soon as you get the grant you will have to leave Australia they might call you tooYes, but if granted a visit visa and you are in Australia, so will they contact you and will ask you to leave Australia so that you can get partner visa? -
Hi Ssyed, does it have any impact on partner visa if visit visa is rejected? And if visit visa is granted then you have to come back to Pakistan in 3 months to get your partner visa as it states you have to be out of pakistan when partner visa is granted
it has no impact on spouse visa. If granted a visit visa the applicant has to leave Australian soil once he/she is granted spouse visa and re-enter Australia on the spouse visa. The visit visa can be 3 months or 6 months grant but have to leave once the time stated is up

That's hopeful news
-
O very sad. When did u apply Ssyed? But I have seen people getting visit visa
you can give it a go I applied half a year ago but no one from Pakistan is given a visit visa to Australia
-
Hi Guys
Just a question, anyone can answer?
Can we apply for visit visa while partner visa is in process ? But when 309 partner visa is granted, it states you have to out of Australia.
Can anyone elaborate this ?
I apples lied for a visit visa but it got rejected on the grounds that the applicant is not going to come back to Pakistan. They reject the visit visa if spouse visa is still under assessment. This is mostly true for Pakistani applicants.

And yes you are right it does not matter what our DOL is...grants are based on individual circumstances!
If that's the case then why haven't they been able to process a. Add in which the couple has never been married has no children and no other complications?

Any progress for those who filed a complaint?
I lodged the complaint 2 days ago but no acknowledgement received!
-
FYI all, I have lodged a complaint, will advise if there is an outcome
I have also complained on the form let's see now

those who are approaching their 10 months mark, don't panic or worry. I can feel as as I am in the same situation but honestly don't be very calm and polite with them after 10 months. Straight write them, Whats the problem and what is going on with the partner application you submitted for worth 6,865 AUD. It is one's legal right to ask them? Ask them will you be able to grant me visa within 12 months standard time so I can buy ticket? Every applicant has this right and I will do the same If they do like this. Come-on this is joke done by AHC staff just to show their Australian bosses that they are very smart in assessing partner applications and taking enough time in verification of details.
Some Realities,
Let us discuss how they validate the relation? criminal checks can be done from Online database from Australia by few private agencies for just 70 AUD and may take at most take 10 days. If let say they assess Pakistani Nadra documents like marriage certificate it is a matter of day or two, Nikkah Nama will not take few weeks to assess from local registry. Police clearance are verified from provincial home departments and it won't take more than a month to verify. So what the hell are other checks??? Lies and too much bureaucracy!!!
Use you legal and human right to ask whats going on!! Australia is a free speech country and everyone has the right to raise their concern!!
Stay Blessed
you have put it well Misbah but whenever I call the AHC they refuse to give any information whatsoever despite the fact that I'm over 10 months since lodgement. They say that everyone else is waiting. Further the keep moving the goal post; first it was 9 months and now 12, I'm pretty sure that it will move up in another 3 months. How and where can one complain, they know really well that we are pretty much helpless. They are delaying for some purpose that is unknown to me.
-
If there is a delay of let's say a year in your application then is it a possibility that someone has tried jeopardise or endanger your application if they have details of the couple applying?
-
They are taking their sweet time.....they didn't hesitate or take much time when asking for money or our own documents

Happy new year guys. Hope the good news comes soon.
Happy New Year InshahAllah

Yes, when you had your telephonic interview ?
4th October
-
Well Ssyed, it usually whenever any document is required, CO usually email you to get the document or when you have a telephonic interview. This is the only way to find out.
Whats ur DOL ?
Thanks
14.03.2016 but a couple of people emailed me so it could be anyone of them.
-
Hi All
My CO says the standard processing time is 12 months. I have reached 10 months mark now and still waiting.
Hopefully something positive as AHC is probably closed till 3 Jan 2017.
Thanks
Hey rehan85! How do I find out who is exactly my CO because whenever I ask them about my CO they do not disclose?
-
Has anyone tried calling the AHC? What are they upto and why is it taking them ages to issue visas?any idea?
-
I m too much depressed.not happy with immigration policy and law about partners visa
Putting our relationship at stake....
It does affect your relationship it's so sad

Hey Ssyed
I have the same DOL as you and same DOI. My wife's visa has also not arrived! It's so frustrating. It's real hard for my wife.
Someone suggested that there is a limit on the amount of spouse VISAs that can be issued each year. Maybe this could be a reason why none have been issued recently.
Anyways good luck everyone. Ssyed here's hoping ours comes at the same time
Thanks AussieBoy hopefully InshahAllah it will come soon!
-
They say 9-12 months, so lets hope for the best. I don't know how they measure it, because some people on other forums have mentioned they have got the partner visa in 8 months 20 days also.
Thanks
No idea it's so frustrating that they can't even process simple straight forward cases on time within 9 months
-
They don't reply to emails.
Do they have asked for any document after interview ? Usually people have the visa less than 9 months, but on Average they say 9-12 months, as per I have a telephonic conversation with AHC Islamabad.
Have you applied for yourself or your wife ?
i have applied online. I'm an Australian citizen by birth, they asked for documents after DOL but nothing after the interview at all. They changed status to approved against the sponsor section as well. Other than that all quiet.
-
Usually 9-12 months.
This is my application status so far:
DOL:14/03/16
interview: 04/10/16
and still waiting for some correspondence from AHC, the call centre is always busy there no one to answer on application status and they never reply to any emails

I am new to this forum but I wanted to ask if any of you have any idea how long the spouse visa for Australia usually takes?
Timeline (309-Spouse visa) applied in May?

Where did you send your complaint? Or what was the email address you sent it to?
