  1. No.. Its been a year i had my interview call.. I called them 4 times regarding delay in visa.. But they dont have any answer... They just say that they will finalize my application soon.. But still nothing happened so far..

You have been waiting a year after your interview?? that is honestly ridiculous, have you tried the complaint link? I dont know what to say I just cant believe they did this to you guys, its been so hard for us and we are coming up to the 11th month I cant imagine what its been like for you.

  2. Hi Guys i got a reply from the complaint lodged. Pretty much a long email stating that my case is still in their time frame in under 12 months. They aim to complete 75% with in 12 months and there is no guarantee regarding that. All in all there is nothing i can do but wait and keep checking my email and immi account. Seemed like a pretty generic copy and paste reply. My opinion probably waste of time lodging a complaint.

  3. those who are approaching their 10 months mark, don't panic or worry. I can feel as as I am in the same situation but honestly don't be very calm and polite with them after 10 months. Straight write them, Whats the problem and what is going on with the partner application you submitted for worth 6,865 AUD. It is one's legal right to ask them? Ask them will you be able to grant me visa within 12 months standard time so I can buy ticket? Every applicant has this right and I will do the same If they do like this. Come-on this is joke done by AHC staff just to show their Australian bosses that they are very smart in assessing partner applications and taking enough time in verification of details.

    Some Realities,

Let us discuss how they validate the relation? criminal checks can be done from Online database from Australia by few private agencies for just 70 AUD and may take at most take 10 days. If let say they assess Pakistani Nadra documents like marriage certificate it is a matter of day or two, Nikkah Nama will not take few weeks to assess from local registry. Police clearance are verified from provincial home departments and it won't take more than a month to verify. So what the hell are other checks??? Lies and too much bureaucracy!!!

Use you legal and human right to ask whats going on!! Australia is a free speech country and everyone has the right to raise their concern!!

    Stay Blessed

I whole heartedly agree with everything you just said!

  4. Lol I agree. I was just a bit curious as I was going through some old comments where people tried asking about the file proceeded to the final decision makers. Hence I thought someone from the current lot might I have a similar experience. Hopefully the jinx is broken soon lol but they did prolonged processing times for 2016. lets see keep praying hard

Make the call mate, with email you will have to wait til they reply (up to 7 days), first I called and they said it's in que for final decision, called a few weeks after and was told they are waiting for some checks to come back, I've Kinda given up speaking with them lol.

  5. Hi ZD87,

Yes mate it is extremely frustrating for all of us. Do you suggest I enquire about final decision makers? what's your opinion? Hope this wait will end soon IN Sha ALLAH but undoubtedly this forum has been very helpful and encouraging. Hope we all get visas soon IA

Mate I have tried a few times (mostly out of frustration when you see people in the past with grants in less than 9 months). I'd say give them a call or email, I have heard a few people say oh don't call or email them they are busy etc etc, and I agree with that for someone who has been waiting for under 6 months but for people like us who are waiting longer than their average time I think it's only sane for us to know where abouts our application is up too. Just don't be disappointed if they give the same standard response mate and if you happen to find something new please share!

Agree this forum has been a massive help, hopefully few months we will be sitting with our partners and thinking about how much we stressed about it all lol.

What documents did they ask for? From what I've read the approved status for sponsor only means that they have checked and approved the sponsor to be able to sponsor. Have read also that someone was in a similar situation and they rang and where advised it doesn't matter if it hasn't changed yet.

  7. Thanks Tasleem,

This department was more helpful than the other Australian office I called, managed to get through after about 15 to 20 min on hold, basically they told me that they can only see limited information but looked up with my file number, she could only see that it is still in assessment and no other information, she could not do anything else, well thats what she told me. She also told me that Pakistan takes 8-10months and if it is being delayed its because 1. I was requested for more information (which I was not) 2. That the only other reason is the external checks they do are delayed and hence why my case would be delayed. She also advised the senior case office makes the decision in Islamabad and not Australia. She then said "oh why dont you try calling them or emailing them"...

The wait continues.. Hopefully some good news soon!

  8. Hi all/misbah

i also came to know that they sent finalised applications to Australia? How much this is true ? And if, then how many days Australia takes ?

    thanks heaps

    Hey

I didnt know they sent finalised apps to Australia either, I did ring immigration here in Sydney as was told it is all handled in Pakistan, but who knows, if any one knows please share, seriously getting over this wait!

  9. Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question. My wife's PCC was issued in December 2015 and my DOL is February 2016. I am assuming that PCC is generally valid for 1 year so should I apply for a new one to avoid any further delay or just wait until further correspondence?

Please share your views. Thank you

I was thinking the same thing, for some reason our PCC was only valid for 6 months (Karachi issued), I did ring them and was advised not to do it unless it is requested again which it was not, wont be surprised before grant they ask for it again but we have not renewed it yet.

  10. Welcome Misbah,

    That is some good information.

Agree on the time frame for two visa streams, I have a friend who migrated on skilled basis and he had his visa grants for himself, wife and two kids processed in under 6 months, where as most partner visa grants take 9 - 12 months, all I can think about is that security checks don't actually take that long but I have read on some forums that it can take anywhere from 4-6 months for those checks and if you are a male it could take longer, also on the skilled migration they only asses your skill to ensure you have the required skills where as in our case they are actually going through a lot of paperwork and determining wether the marriage is legitimate or not. I guess we will never really know what type and the length of checks they go to.

Also I think (and please no body get offended) but things in Pakistan don't always work on time, I don't see this being any different at the AHC. Canberra sets the expected time frame of 12 months, even if everything is completed they still have up to 12 months. I rang through twice and was told both times that my application is "decision ready" and awaiting the senior case officer to asses it. However if applications are getting sent to Australia then it could take longer but this is all uncertain, I do know that AHC's in India have a quick stream process with Australia meaning they share information quicker and therefor their grants including visit visa's are much quicker compared to Pakistan.

I definitely agree with you to stay patient and not to worry however it is hard as you would have seen our posts here in the past, they say expectation is the root of all heartache however every single person here (including myself) waits for the Thursday/Friday days thinking....just hoping that grant comes through. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do but wait.

I must say though this forum has helped a lot, I will continue to keep sharing any information.

Only 4 more days til Thursday..
