First nomination applied July 14, 2016 but got declined on Sep. 08 due to salary issues. Re-applied nomination the same week RFI requested 2nd week of November for nomination Then visa & nomination both got approved yesterday! It was a long wait but it was worth it! ? Happy Friday the 13th guys!!! Would like to share the good news today. Nomination and visa got approved! Applied on shore (Sydney) RFI requested for nomination only. They didnt ask for police clearance anymore. No medical as well. Goodluck to all who are still waiting! Keep the faith.

That's good then. Did they request for additional info/docs for your visa application? They'll probably reply next week mate. Keep your hopes up. You'll have the grant next week.

What did your MA say?

Hi Yad, Have you tried sending an email to immigration to check on your application? Sometimes it helps too. their email: 457@border.gov.au

Thank you, Mate. I've purchased the insurance at IMAN and attached the insurance certificate in my Visa application. So hopefully all is good now and back to waiting game.

That's good then. I lodged my own application so not sure if I can use the student visa insurance or need to get a new one. May I know what insurance company you use for the 457?

Not sure how long it will take. Others are way faster and some are still waiting for the grant up to this time. We really can't tell what's going on. hoping and praying that all our grants will come out soon.

Hi Sajid, Yours is more than 3 months already. Did you chat with your MA?

I'm really hoping so mate. My HR rang them this morning and she was advised it could take a couple of weeks more. So we'll see if I'll get an update this week. I'll keep everyone posted.

Hi Alturn, It's been six weeks now.

I think it will be for both as the nomination is not yet approved too. Here is the complete reply: "Your application will be assessed this week." "The nomination that was lodged on your behalf is still outstanding. We will not be able to progress your application until the nomination is finalised" My HR didn't use an MA. She lodge the nomination on her end and I lodge the Visa. So I'm happy about the "to be assessed this week" note but worried about the "nomination is still outstanding"
