Thanks for your response brother.  I have a 457 visa  which is still active and allows multiple travel . So do i still need bringing  visa B?

Hi @Saugat, I am also on 457 Visa valid until January 2021. We went overseas last week due to death in the family and we're now back in Sydney.

No issues with travel as your Work Visa is still Valid. 🙂

Hi Guys,I have been waiting since March last year and I'm on bridging C now which requires me to stay in Australia until visa granted,it's very sad that my grandparents' health is getting worse and worse but I can't go back to see them,I don't know how long will I wait, but seems like that us direct entry before April 2018 are being processing really slowly,I am afraid that my grandparent may pass away anytime without me by their side.

Anyone on bridging C has similar experience and solution? I have asked my agent if there is any way I can go abroad and they said no way.

    Hi @lulumanda

I really hope you'll get your visa soon so you can go home for your grandparents.

Though we haven't waited that long yet, we are also waiting for the outcome of our application before going home as my Dad-in-Law is also not in good condition and would love to spend time with him.

Did your MA try to follow-up with Immigration as it has been 18-months for your application?

Silver email received yay!! s56 requested for AFPs that are on file and in date so MA emailing today so fingers crossed it should be finalized soon!!

@sj88Congratulations mate!!! Your golden email is on its way! :)

By the way, Did IMMI call your office first before they approved the nomination or it just went straight from received to finalised?

    Hi everybody. 🙂

Just wondering what everyones time frame is after all your information, AFPs, medicals etc have been uploaded. How many weeks are we all sitting on waiting for news?

I am still waiting on nomination to be approved- lodged April and lodged application with AFP in June, and medicals approved on 27 June.

So 4 weeks for me. Just curious to see everyones current timeline.

    Happy Thursday 🙂

Hi @sj88 we somehow have similar timelines and both applications are still on "received" status as well. It would really depends when CO will open up our files but let's just hope it would be sooner. 🙏

    Happy Thursday! 😊

    Hi all,

    My visa was granted today!!!!

Thank you all guys, I’ve been a silent reader for several months and since I discovered this forum I would pull up my phone multiple times a day thinking “let’s see how are my mates doing”. You have actually helped me during this time. Seeing people being granted gave me hope and seeing all the amazing advice and information gave me a little bit of confidence too because I could see that I wasn’t alone and there is actually a bunch of amazing people online helping each other during this process. Thank you very much for this.

However, with that being said deep down I have been so worried and sad, the uncertainty was killing me. It has been very hard especially since the famous email on the 4th of April. Some days I would cry especially at night, not knowing what to expect. I believe in God and I prayed everyday, asking to give me strength to endure in this situation. Whether you believe in God or not please stay strong, your time will come soon. Looking at you Dimitrios and everybody else waiting - I don’t know any of you and I can’t recall your user names right now, but I feel you. Keep having faith my friends.

Here’s my timeline for those interested:

    - 186 TRT (grandfathering) nomination and application: September/October 2018

    - Received the famous email on the 4th of April

    - Done the Medicals straight after the email

    - Some docs were requested to my company at the end of May (don’t know what they asked for but my MA said it was the usual stuff and everything looked good)

    - At the same time I have been updating my police checks, payslips, etc. in order to keep my application decision-ready

    - Both nomination and application have been approved today 15 of July

I would recommend to keep your files up to date proactively. If they will expire soon, update them. This may or may not speed up the process, no one really knows but the fact that both my nomination and application were approved at the same time would make me think that it did help speeding up the process.

Best regards and good luck to everyone

@Nedkellyinthebush Congratulations!!! Truly Happy for you and to those who have had their Visas granted! Let's all keep the faith!

Thanks so much @Hex for the input. Much appreciated! As suggested, I will contact an MA for peace of mind. 🙂

Hi @Hex, Thank you again for the recommendation to contact an MA. Here's what he said.

    • If the nomination is for 186 -  SBS registration or renewal is not a requirement. He said that even if the SBS is expired, it won't affect the current application for 186
    • He said that Standard Business Sponsorship is only required (must be active or must be renewed) if the company is nominating a work-visa.

    Thank you.

    @Chowder I wouldn't be the best person and have all the knowledge on this BUT at a shot this would be my comment;

    - "You think when they were applying for nomination that it will tell them if their business registration as a sponsor has expired and need to renew first before they can nominate?"
This would be ideal but doesn't work like that, it's up to the company to "know" if they can actually lodge a sponsorship or not. If not, the department, will simply refuse it on those conditions.

    - As for how to check: My understanding was that, when the company signed up and become a sponsor, they would have been given access to a portal as well as a contact (not for visa's but for somewhere they can go to check things are up to date).
If they can't remember this then their best bet would be to call the department again and ask for confirmation (you may need to do this a few times) OR get an MA involved and ask them - I'm pretty sure there's a database of these "approved" sponsors that you can check statuses on.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks so much @Hex for the input. Much appreciated! As suggested, I will contact an MA for peace of mind. 🙂

  9. Hi @Hex, Do you know by any chance how will the business know if their registration as a business to sponsor is still valid or not expired? My boss tried to look up on their Immi Account but there was no details of it. She also tried calling Immigration but the only answer is the "business is fine so long as they pass the requirement of 186/187" along those lines. She's now unsure if they need to renew or it's still valid. Both nomination and visa has been submitted. You think when they were applying for nomination that it will tell them if their business registration as a sponsor has expired and need to renew first before they can nominate?

They have applied for my 457 last June 2016 (got approved JAN 2017) and now they have applied for my PR TRT stream April 2019.

Thank you Hex. As always, appreciate all your inputs.

Hello everyone! Been a silent reader as well 🙂 Just got my PR granted today too! Nomination was approved 11 days ago🙂 My skill is Marketing Specialist, 186 TRT. Lodged the second application last January 2019 as my first nomination was refused due to Training benchmark.

Congrats to all of us!!! ❤️

@cams326 Congratulations to you!!! So happy seeing lots of PR Grants today.

Just wondering please, when you withdraw your previous 186 Visa application, were you able to get refund or do you have to pay again for new application?

    Thank you! 🙂

@bsuman, it could be this month or you may have to wait a little more. It really depends. As per @Hex response to you, we can't do anything but wait. 🙂

The good thing about your application is they already started the process and will for sure revert back to you. Some are all still in "received" status.

Big congrats to the recent PR Grants and Nomination Grant!!! 🙂

  12. Hello Everyone.

I'll be joining the waiting game (again). This time for ENS application (186 TRT). I just lodged our visa application yesterday. Nomination is also still on "received" status. Details on my signature below.

  13. Hi, do we need to have our documents certified true copy email r a scanned colour copy of the original document is enough to attach. Also do we need police clearance for secondary/dependent's 457 visa?

    Hi Nicolo,

I didn't submit a police clearance and IMMI never requested for it as well.

If you can get it easily, there is no problem submitting it but you may also proceed with the application w/out it and just wait if the case office will request it.

  14. Hey mate finally I got a good news .. visa has granted yesterday .
