  2. Hi Racmac, it is possible to apply for a PR: Direct Entry Stream. You don’t even have to have a 457 to be eligible for this stream. Under Direct Entry Stream you need to obtain a skills assessment from a certifying body and have a minimum of 3 years work experience relevant to your occupation gained anywhere in the world. You must get your English tested on a particular level (IELTS 6), get your medical and character checks done. You don’t have to wait 2 years on a 457 to go through this stream. Some people are unable to get through Skill Assessment or are struggling to pass IELTS 6, therefore 2 years on 457 Visa is their “option of choice”. Source: https://457australianworkingvisa.com
  3. I don't know because the agency did the application. I'm sponsored as a carpenter.
  4. Super fast, Lodged on the 30th of November en received our grant today!!!!! We didn't have to undergo health checks nor police clearance. The application went through a MA in Sydney and we are dutchies living in Germany. Super happy and surprised how fast it went. I wish you all the best and a merry Christmas.
  5. But what about the years of experience after receiving the Certificate 3 We've tried 2 different migration offices in the Netherlands (because we are Dutch) but, their conclusion was that I am not eligible for a skilled permanent visa, because the lack of construction experience after finishing school. I have started my studycarpentry level 3 back in 1998 and have over 15 years' experience but couldn't finish it because of certaincircumstances, therefore I have finished it recently. They said that we're not eligible for skilled visa cause the years of experience start counting after one finishes their study.
