  1. Hi all. Just looking for a bit of clarification on the process we need to follow! Myself & my wife are looking to move from Scotland to Sydney on the 11th of October. All our visas are in place & we're just building up to the move just now. One of our biggest hopes is that we can bring our two cats over with us as soon as possible. Through some early research my understanding is that we would need to get them vaccinated against rabies 6 months before, and no less. Obviously we currently have around 8 weeks before we go. Can anyone tell me if this means that even if we get them vaccinated now, there's absolutely no chance they can travel with us on the 11th October, meaning that if we did, in fact, want to bring them, then we would need to put them into temporary accommodation for approximately 4 months until the vaccination had passed the 6 month waiting time? I've read other conflicting information that suggests as long as we get them vaccinated at least 14 days before, it should be fine. Hoping for someone's expertise & clarification on this one! Obviously also hoping it's the answer we want!  Thanks folks!
  2. Hi Adolfolsr We're both UK citizens, moving from Scotland to Sydney, and the MA was based in England. Hope this helps shine a bit more light on it! Also, my wife was granted a spousal visa on my 457. Seems like quite a fast turnaround!
  3. Hiya folks! Brand new to the board, and this is my first post! Wife & I are moving to Oz at the start of October from Scotland, and have just recently had my 457 sponsored visa approved, so thought I'd share the processing time it took to arrive! Application lodged 9th of June. Visa approved & received on the 3rd of August. Good luck to everyone waiting on theirs!
