Don’t forget we are getting close to end June which is their end financial year! Quite likely they have already reached their quota for this year already as there were so many in June 2015 which caused a backlog

If that’s the case there will be lots (who have already reached the end of their process and who are just waiting)  granted once we reached July!

there was one granted who applied 1 week before us, and yet we are now 5 months behind, no props with paper work! ?

It is so difficult to "guestimate" where they are and how many have been issued. They say they only assessing up to July 2015 but we know they already started asking for docs in August 2015 for 143 and October/November 2015 for 173

Its very frustrating, not knowing, All we wont to do is to get back Start work, and enjoy life.

Apart from last year we have gone back to UK every year for about 15 years. In our case we do go for about 3 months, and don’t stay with our son, so yes it’s a costly exercise. Obviously the airfares are for most people the major cost. If you only go for a couple of weeks and stay with someone, this keeps the cost down, but it can get a bit wearing for both parties to stay with family if it’s year in and out. If you rent then again it’s costly, as apart from paying rent, you don’t have much in the pantry, so stocking up can add up.

I appreciate why we do it, in our case our grandchildren are in UK, but it does get harder as time goes on. I missed our grandchildren last year, but I didn’t miss the long haul flight,

I will soon be time your Grandchildren come to you, x
