  1. Hello MaggieMay24, Thank you for your comment but as you can see I have well over 5 years experience, why would they take off the entire 5 years instead of 2 years?
  2. Hello all I just got my skill assessment result from AC. It says: Dear Mr…… Thank you for your ICT skills assessment which was received by the Australian Computer Society on 26 July 2016. Your skill have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 261112 (System Analyst) of the ANZSCO Code. Your qualification has been assessed as follows: Your BSc in Computer Science from University of xxxxxxx completed September 2002 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Associate Degree with a major in computing. The following employment after December 2015 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261112 (System Analyst) of the ANZSCO Code. Dates: 12/10 – 06/16 (5yrs 6mths) Position: System Analyst Employer: xxxxx Country: xxxx The following employment has been assessed as not suitable Dates: 08/06 – 09/09 (0yrs 0mths) Position: System Administrator- Not Closely related to the nominated ANZSCO Employer: xxxxxx Country:xxxxxxx What is the meaning of “The following employment after December 2015 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 261112 (System Analyst) of the ANZSCO Code.” Does this mean that I cannot claim points for employment? And please what are the next steps? Please can anyone kindly help explaining, much appreciated thanks
  3. Thank you so much...i will look into the website posted.
  4. Thank you for your response xxlornaxx. I think they say it takes about 8-12 weeks to get a feedback for the skills assessment. So I guess its the waiting times now. We are from same country, English Speaking though but IELTS is a requirement for the points that why I had to do it anyways. However, is there a way I can calculate my points? I hear for Systems Analyst, one needs to get up to 70 points...is this true? Pardon me I am kind of inquisitive to know, but how is the final application made? How does her skills assessment reflect in the final application?
  5. Hello, I am new on here. I have been reading the thread and I am really happy I found this forum. It has been so helpful learning from you guys. Please I would like to know the step by step on how to move to Australia. I have just submitted my skill assessments to the ACS for systems analyst. When do I do the EOI and how much is it. I will be writing the IELTS in a few days’ time. Also I am planning on moving with my partner, does she need to do a skill assessment and also write the IELTS? At what point do I add her to the application? Please your comments are highly appreciated
