FYI post...
I called 131881 three times in last two weeks; I got different answers every time.
Call 1 Agent 1: We can just tell you about global processing times and we cannot look into your application.
Call 2 Agent 2: Asked for my application no. and said everything looks fine but nobody is working on your application as of now. There are comments but i can't read them.
Call 3 Agent 3: We can not look into your application but can tell you about global processing times.
**to me this number is not useful.
Hope it helps!

Sounds like you have a staff loan? If they paid the fees and deduct from your wages.
Staff loan is not a tax deduction for you or for the Employer, but it would not hurt for a Tax Agent to look into this for you.
Thanks!

Hi Everyone
Need your help on the following:
The amount deducted from our salaries for MA fees; is it tax deductible? As in, shall I show it under deductions, when lodging tax return?
Thanks!

In regards to a 186 TRT that has been lodged for 7 months now, still in received state.
Would it be worth calling the immigration offices to ask for an update, or am I wasting my time? I am using a MA, but also don't want to waste their time, if there's nothing they can do.
- If so, what is the best number to use?I lodged on the 9th January 2018 (Software Developer).
Any thoughts / ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
What's the number to call?

No idea; it will be asked for if its required.

Thanks mate, my MA said its not required unless the department asks for it. I just want to be sure and submit everything.
I think Stat. Decl is always on request.

is there a template for Statutory declaration?
Yes there is but different form is required for different reasons:
Two examples are below; your MA shall provide you based on your case;

I didn't understand bro, what does it mean it depends on wether she was working before coming to Australia?
When I applied for 457 my MA said that usually your spouse get full work rights but sometimes they look into whether they were working or not? And hence my MA asked for additional work related documents. But that's just a MA thing this is not stated anywhere on DIBP website.

As per my MA, if you haven't visited India, you don't need it. But he also said, depends on case officer. i would suggest you to get it done and upload it coz there's no harm.
