Given that me and the OH are (hopefully) within the last month or two of our wait, it's getting to the 'obsessive checking stage' I'm sure we're all so used to from our immigration journeys... I wonder if i can lighten the mood (and waste some thumb-twiddling time) by posing a question to the group -
What are your plans for your citizenship ceremony day?
We'll hopefully have the in-laws visiting from the UK over our ceremony, so they'll be joining us. Aside from them we'll almost certainly max-out our invite allowance with close friends and others who have helped us along the way.
Ceremonies in our area are late afternoon/early evening, and always during the week, so we'll likely get off work early and have a drink in a pub nearby, then go out for some food as a group after.
My UK passport expires in about 4 months, so i'm keen to order both new UK and Aus passports at the same time and have them both brand new (hopefully with a good photo this time!). I think that'd be a really nice touch at the end of this 7 year journey!
So what are you all going to get up to?
Knowing the fact that I am not included in AU Day ceremony, whenever mine will be; I am throwing a party for close friends at home. I am not sure about others but I ll have Oz flags on my face to get the feel of AU Day which I am missing out. Drinks, BBQ and Oz flags all over; that will be my way. And I also want a good pic on passport but not sure of AusPost guys as last time they didn't click a good one
Thanks for initiating this post.

You can return this completed form and attachments by email to 929@homeaffairs.gov.au
Hi Georgiegie and Chris N Lora
I had a call with the citizenship 131881 helpline and they told me to fill 1023 and attach it to the application. 929 is used for address, contact and passport details while 1022 is used for change in circumstances e.g. relationship etc.
Thanks!
-
Firstly do not stress, I believe you need a form 929, change of detail's. passport /Address etc... attached a covering letter with you TRN or Citizenship application number with it and advise the dept of the simple error. people make mistakes all the time they are used to it. ( ensure you have all legitimate proof to show the error. if its already uploaded tell them.
Thanks for replying!
Yes I have submitted it already.
Immi account only shows to update passport, address and email update.
I can download 929 but where to send it.
Thanks for your help!

My parents DOB
**Parents and brother are not part of my application, there info was required under family details.
How can i get it rectified and what are the consequences?

@Hex please reply.
@Kashif.Iqbal You need not worry about this. As the link clearly says ENS 186 is second in priority (which is still priority) while regional is first.
ENS 186 is when you apply via employer while skillselect is a channel where you can submit EOI and an employer will pick you up then apply.

Hello Everyone
I know the title of this post is very obvious and can be checked on https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/residence-calculator
Immi website does gives me a result YES based on my dates but the whole confusion for me is 'immediate 4 years'
Note: I am assuming lawful residence date in Aug 2014 because that's when I first arrived in AU and the website does not specify any specific visa.
But I think my scenario is a bit complicated and following are the details:
IMPORTANT DATES
Permanent Residence Date Lawful Residence Date Intended Lodgement Date
17/09/2018 10/08/2014 07/10/2019
TRAVEL PERIOD
From Date:17 Aug 2014 To Date:30 Aug 2014
From Date:15 Sep 2014 To Date:04 Jan 2015
From Date:18 Jan 2015 To Date:01 Feb 2015
From Date:22 Feb 2015 To Date:26 Apr 2015
From Date:02 May 2015 To Date:20 Jun 2015
From Date:04 Jul 2015 To Date:20 Aug 2016
From Date:28 Jul 2017 To Date:01 Aug 2017
From Date:02 Nov 2017 To Date:17 Nov 2017
From Date:05 May 2018 To Date:20 May 2018
From Date:16 Nov 2018 To Date:04 Dec 2018
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS
01 Aug 2014 till 01 Dec 2015 I was on a FA Subclass 600 (Visitor Visa)
02 Dec 2015 till 11 Aug 2016 I was in Singapore with no Australian Visa
All I need to know is; Is the Residence Calculator correct? Can I apply in October this year?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone
Good news here...
Nobody said a single word to me when I informed the forum that I have received a s57 Natural Justice. It was pretty disappointing that nobody is empathising.
I replied to the s57 natural justice letter with all the facts and no emotions.

Again this depends where you are from.
For my 457 I wasn't required to hold Private Health Insurance for my Visa as I was able to apply for medicare due to the reciprocal Agreement.
Sorry I forgot to mention about reciprocal health arrangement. I have not considered that in my statement. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Keep your attitude to yourself. And don't tell me what to post and what not to. You Don't Own this forum. My knowledge is confirmed too and from my personal experience. Advised by my MA and Immigration, on enquiry. When applicant is on 457 visa and applies for 186, which I am in, still has to maintain private health Insurance, Which is VISA REQUIREMENT and stated in VISA Documentation as well. This has to continue, till 186 is GRANTED, or case officer may reject the visa.
And yes I DO HAVE MEDICARE as well, And I possess my Interim Medicare card since past 4-5 Years from my previous Visa, yet I have been told to still have Prvt Cover. Because apparently some Insurance companies (Including mine) only cover Hospital visits and not GPs. In that incident, medicare is used to visit GPs (and also Hospitals).
As per my knowledge and sources my Information is correct. That could be wrong. But I do not make laws, just follow them. I am following the instructions which are safe for myself and my family. Hence, when I saw this issue, I advised my fellow Forum member to stay safe. With Intention to help alone. I am not forcing anyone. To take my advice or not, is their prerogative.
Likewise maybe you want to trust your sources, that's your prerogative. But definitely you can't command Me to post or not to. Most of the people are supportive here in this forum, trying to help each other.
My advice to you is to keep your tone Amiable !!
Yes you are right. it is a requirement for any 457 visa holders to have adequate private insurance. PR application does allow you to get an interim medicare card but that doesn't mean you should get rid of your private insurance as you are still on 457 , neither your bridging visa has started (start date would be when your 457 ends) nor your PR has been granted.
I do understand that some people here think that they are the department or Migration Agent but that shouldn't worry you; don't lose your calm.
I think people here need to understand that everybody who has applied for a PR goes through anxiety and every little thing annoys them. So let's respect people, provide info we are aware of , share timelines but not jab.
I like the way you replied though. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks Ali yes I will leave the bit out about Newcastle haha! It is called a PIC 4020 and apparently from November 17 it has been enforced a lot more than in the past. The more I read about it the more I am worrying now!
Hi Adam
Have you replied yet? If yes, did they come back with any update? I have received a similar letter, that's why asking.
Thanks!

Hi all,
writing this with little red eyes...our visa got granted this morning!
After the RFI (see above) the nomination got approved on July 4th, then another almost 5 weeks of waiting until the visa grant this morning.
Can't believe the wait is over and guess it will take some while to realize it.
Thinking of all of you still waiting, fingers crossed the wait and insecurity will be over for you very soon!
Congratulations!
