  1. Ah so many different informations eh! But are you hoping to reside in NT? I just don't feel I can go for that option of state sponsorship if I don't want to live in that area! It's all such a minefield! Did you do the application yourself or use an agent?
  2. Thanks for such a quick reply! It was a registered agency and that's what threw me! This whole initial process is mind boggling as different information from every base I touch with ? Thanks though!!
  3. Hello! i am looking for some insight..... I have spoken with a migration agent in th UK who has advised subclass 190 for NT, I am also eligible for. 190/489 SA for job 141111. however, I don't want to be in NT from previous experience it is not for me a suitable place to move my family to. So the agent has advised that I only have to 'stamp my passport' there! This doesn't seem right to me as I would be entering on a state sponsored visa? Any advise please? Thanks!
  4. By diploma would that cover a masters in the field? Well it is actually an unfinished masters so classes as a post grad dimple a I think as I didn't want to write a thesis! I also have 10 years experience, although it is working (manager) for a family owned restaurant and bar complex. I really don't think a skills assessment should be a problem but am finding this initial process like a foreign language!!
  5. There doesn't appear to be special conditions listed, although it is on low demand seems to be a general occupation requiring vetassess skills test (if this new language in talking bout is making any sense?)
  6. perhaps I'm being a numpty but what are the 'special' conditions you talk of?
  7. Hi! S.a seems to be sponsoring however, if I find an employer somewhere else is this still an option?
  8. Hi how are you getting on? i have just broached the subject of a move to my partner and I work in hospitality management, I see some of you guys mention Sydney and Melbourne but I thought the CSOL cafe manager had to be in a certain area (s.a. From my research) is the his not the case? This is such a head melt!!
  9. Wow 70k if I thought it would be anywhere near that I'd be stopping in my tracks now! thanks though!
  10. Thanks! good thoughts, and I think if really try and limit any shipping. And as my sis already in Sydney i could set family there for a week and sort long term rental pretty quickly I think, although I think my preference would be for s.a. whens your move?
  11. Thanks! no house to sell and I really don't think I'd ship much! Probably selling everything to make way for a wee trip to ikea on arrival. Also here people do alit of buying selling on Facebook sites now, is that also the case in oz? i really don't think I'd commit to bring my family without having a job secured at least for me!
  12. Thanks, having been to Australia a few times before the setting up costs seem to make sense in my head, it's what I'll spend before I even get on the plane I'm trying to work out. We don't have a lot of material pieces here and just rent property, so I think it will be easier to do a few ikea runs once their rather than start shipping. Also the Australian living layouts are fairly different to ours from memory. does primary education incur big charges of looking at state schools?
  13. Wow thanks for that Rebecca! may I ask was the visa validation holiday a requirement? (I have already been to Australia 3 times and my sister is a pr waiting for citizenship soon) bet you can't wait for August!! s
  14. hey everyone I'm just in initial research stages and looking for a guide to how much the move will cost us. Two adults, and two children. I will be main visa holder. thanks in advance (excuse my cluelessness)
  15. Thanks, it's on CSOL, and points should be around the 70. Lots of researching today!!
  16. Thanks! It's on the CSOL, I have worked as backpacker a few years back and my sister is currently a perm res in Sydney. I may try a few contacts first to see if I can get employer directly, but if not will look at state sponsorship can I choose which state?) I think I will need to contact chains of bars/restaurants as they are more likely to have more than one manager and won't necessarily be waiting about for my application. Thanks again.
  17. Thanks Im on the CSOL, so now I see I need to find an employer!
  18. Hi everyone, I have just started looking into apossible relocation to Australia. I am 32 and my partner 42, with two kids age 3 and 4 months.
