  1. Thank you very much for your guidance Sina. Fingers crossed for 6 July!
  2. Hello Sina, Yes, but no invitation was given to a mechanical engineer during the 22nd of June round as the occupation ceiling was reached.
  3. This question is for subclass 189 permanent residence.
  4. Hello Everyone! I would highly appreciate any advice based on your expertise. What are the chances of getting an invitation for a Mechanical Engineer with 60 points submitting the EOI in July 2016? And how long would it take to be invited if we were to make a conservative prediction? As you know Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers had a 14% reduction to 1,539 placements this year. And this occupation was fully filled in 2015-16. Basically I'm submitting my EOI (with just 60 points) this month and my current visa expires in January 2017. Should I be worried?
  5. Hello Everyone! After the age of 16 I have lived in three countries for over a year. Iran: 2006 to 2007 and 2015 China: 2007 to 2009 Malaysia: 2009 to 2014 I am now on a Temporary Graduate Visa Subclass 476. When I applied for this visa I got all my Police Clearances for all these countries in June 2015. I moved to Australia in December 2015 and now I have submitted my EOI for 189 visa. If I get invited in August 2016, do I need to provide a new Police Clearance for all those countries? On the DIAC website it says Police Clearances are only valid for 12 months from date of issue (which means mine won't be valid anymore). But is my case an exception because I haven't been back to China and Malaysia ever since, and I left Iran five months after the date of the Police Clearance. I would highly appreciate any help as getting new Police Clearances would be very time consuming.
