Hi,
With regards to this criteria:
The ANZSCO says: Skill Level 3 : Occupations at Skill Level 3 have a level of skill commensurate with one of the following:
- NZ Register Level 4 qualification
- AQF Certificate IV or
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training.
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification
There is a suggestion that the formal, paid experience can negate the requirement for a formal qualification. There is also the suggestion that, if an AQF Level 3 I held, then 2 years of on the job training is required.
I have a few questions around this that I hope you can help with:
1) Based on UK qualifications am I correct in thinking that an AQF level 3 is equivalent to an NVQ level 2? And an AQF Level 4 equivalent to an NVQ level 3?
2) This would suggest that, if an AQF Level 4 is held, then no specific duration of 'on the job training' is required. Is that correct?
3) If an AQF Level 4 is held how much post-qualification experience is required to obtain a successful TRA Assessment?
This is in relation to the Wall and Floor Tiler ANZSCO code for context.
Many thanks in advance for your help!
