Kevsan thank you for the information - I said about £40k but he'll have to do some investigating. Do the majority of people rent in Oz as I doubt we'd get back on the housing ladder?

My husband is hooked on the idea of moving from UK to be with his extended family in Victoria, Oz. I'd like to give him some sort of indication on a rough amount of money we need to have behind us for it to happen. We are a family of 4, hubby is 39, I'm 36, kids are 12 & 7. My husband is 3rd line IT Support. Many thanks for any rough idea!!
