We did the same and kept quiet based on advice. 4 years later they are asking for docs to prove our name and address so we are stuck. Our current lender don't do any form of buy to let mortgages so we have no choice but to find another lender.

Hi all, We own a house in the UK and need to change the mortgage to a buy to let. We are now PR here and don't have any immediate plans to go back to the UK. We have about 50% equity in the house and the rent covers the mortgage by about 150% so not too risky but I'm struggling to find someone who will look at an expat. Any recommendations?? thanks!
